I came up with a tool idea that I think will be a welders friend in this video I machine and heat treat (D2 steel) the necessary parts. I'm also giving away...
Some time back, I ran across West Weld’s channel when I was looking for reviews of a product I was thinking about buying. WW’s review was less-than-stellar and I really appreciated his honest appraisal since it saved me a couple hundred dollars.
Of course, seeing the aggravation he had to go through just to cut some short pieces of steel, I figured it’d be an excellent opportunity to pay him back. He saved me a couple bills, so the least I could do was save him some time and frustration!
The “Bridge Clamp” is far superior to any other method I’ve come across when you need to hold a short piece in your horizontal bandsaw. As the name implies, it bridges the gap when need to cut a short length off of an already short length.
This is the beauty of the internet. Though we might never meet in person, we can still help each other and learn from each other. If you’re looking for videos that truly exemplify the videographer’s skills, check out West Weld on youtube. The guy’s great in the shop and behind the camera!
