The as yet unnamed “Baby T” came in the middle of a storm and, with a little help from the ladies who love him, has passed all of his newborn milestones! He’s up, he’s learning how to use his brand new legs, and he has passed his meconium. We’re still working on finding the milk bar reliably, but his suction is fantastic once he finds his mark. He’s friendly, curious, and everything I thought he’d be. 2018 Chesntut Colt By Wezuwiuz (*Erros x *Wigana, by Camerton) out of AH Lark (Equitar x AHWillow, by Alito)
Wezuwiuz *Erros x *Wigana, by Camerton 1999 Pure Polish Arabian Stallion Owned by and Standing at Stone Pointe Arabians
Wezuwiuz is the last known Polish son of *Erros standing at public stud, and the sire of AH Lark’s 2018 foal. He represents some of the best old world Polish breeding, with a proven performance pedigree and plenty of athleticism in his own right. To date, he has sired only 5 foals: a very small crop in 2004 produced WC Errey Bay, CCR Pazuvience, and CCR Chancady, while DF Riley and DF Oh Suzannah were born in 2007 and 2008, respectively. 2018 will mark the arrival of Wezuwiuz’s first pure Polish foals.
*Erros (*El Paso x Eskapada, by *Naborr; registered as Eros in Poland), was a race winner in Poland (1/6; 2-2-1-1) before his importation to the US in 1977. In 1978, *Erros was awarded the title of US National Reserve Champion Stallion, following on the heels of his half sister, *Wizja (*El Paso x Warmia), who was awarded the title of US National Champion Mare in 1977. Their sire, *El Paso (Czort x Ellora), took the title of US National Champion in 1976 and is widely regarded as a sire of international significance.
As a sire, *Erros produced 215 foals, a number of which became successful show horses. For example: Captivating+, a 1984 mare out of Caps Maria (El Cap Ghadimar), took multiple regional titles in halter and western pleasure before moving on to the national stage, where she collected a number of top 10 placings in the US and Canada before being crowned the US National Champion Western Pleasure horse in 1992. Her full brother, Caprricorn (*Erros x Caps Maria), became a Canadian Top Ten stallion in 1984. One More Time, a 1979 colt out of Ruby Tuesday (Ibn Mirzaz), won the title of 1982 US National Champion Futurity Colt in stiff competition, but was not widely used as a sire - in large part because his owners shifted their attention from Arabians to Saddlebreds - and left only 48 registered foals. Fierro+++//, a 1995 gelding out of the Saddlebred mare Sultan’s Finesse, is arguably one of *Erros’ most successful sons, with championships in everything from pleasure driving and sidesaddle to halter and country English pleasure with his amateur and junior handlers.
*Wigana (*Camerton x Witryna, by Czort), a German-born mare of Polish breeding, was imported to the US in 1982. In 1984, she took fourth place (out of 19) in Arabian Mare Breeding at the Region 1 Lone Star Classic. She had a total of seven registered foals: Armanique, a 1987 chestnut filly by Armagnac; Evauna, a 1989 bay filly by DWD Tabasco who became a Region 11 Top Ten Yearling Filly in 1990 and went on to win a Reserve Championship in Arabian Mare Breeding at the So Co All Arab Show in 1991 before retiring as a broodmare; Baskommander, a 1990 bay colt by DWD Tabasco; Wintage Bey, a 1995 bay colt by Bey Shah+ who had a Top Five finish in the Region 6 Arabian Stallion Breeding Championship in 1998 and sired eight foals before being gelded and returning to the show ring in 2002, where he then collected many more top placings as a hunter and sport horse; Wezuwiuz, a 1999 chestnut colt by *Erros; Wendula, a 2001 bay filly by *Erros who has been shown extensively in the sport horse and country English pleasure divisions by a junior; and Wicktor, a 2002 bay colt by Emage Of. Unfortunately, many of Wigana’s offspring were produced for Lydell Sannes of North Dakota who, despite breeding over 100 horses from national caliber lines, very rarely showed his own stock.
