Goere's name has a tale of it's own that's unrelated to Warframe, but rather Sydrathna. Her name was originally Gēre, pronounced as such too (your turn to use latvian on google translate). But her name has never really been spoken out loud by anyone except Lane, who happened to be put to sleep for a century. During this rest period researchers and hobbyists, who found written record of her, pronounce it as just Gore and write Goere.

She's a folktale character. Modern teens make edgelord fan characters inspired by her. They don't know that she is not a cat spirit, rather a shapeless entity, an existence that takes on various forms, but never manages to pass as a true animal of the species.
