It happened quite suddenly--a shift in the eyes, a change in posture, the way his lip stilled and hardened into a thin line. The door swung open, and Professor X bustled forward, assuming the helm while Charles crawled safely away into the quiet corners of his mind. Their mind.

"You couldn't leave him alone, could you?" The Professor huffed, gaze sharpening into a glare as he leaned forward in Charles' wheelchair. That's how it always went, wasn't it? Crossing lines and sidestepping boundaries until poor little Charles Xavier nearly drowned in his own anxiety. Thank fuck he had somebody else living inside his head.

"What do you want, Emily," the Professor snapped, opening his telepathic floodgates with ease. She was a tricky one, Charles' daughter-in-law. One of few living in the school with the infuriating ability to block his abilities. He hated that.

Either Erik in leather anything or wearing dark jeans, boots and a dark, long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Basically Erik in form-fitting dark clothes 😂 X cannot resist~

Hey gang!

Since it’s Pride Month, I figured I’d make a post exclusively dedicated to my muses gender+sexuality headcanons. I’m not going to include characters like Oliver and Raven since I don’t write for them that often.

Prime universe:

Charles Xavier - Formerly bisexual, now identifies as asexual biromantic. Tends to keep the second bit to himself as he believes himself too damaged to be an adequate partner (and after being hurt by Erik, is extremely reluctant to fall in love again.)

James Xavier - James identifies as heterosexual, but he’s actual bisexual, with a very strong preference towards women (like an 80 - 20 ratio.) He hasn’t come across any men he’s attracted to yet, but his doppelganger has... James is a bit of a weird one in that he’s almost exclusively attracted to extraterrestrial women XD (Does that make him pansexual?)

Vivian Lehnsherr (Ice Queen) - Bisexual, but with a strong preference towards women.  She’s experienced attraction to men in the past, but has only been with women. 

David Xavier (adult) - Graysexual. He doesn’t usually experience sexual attraction, but every so often Violet draws it out of him.

Blake Summers - Heterosexual but desperately wishes he were asexual and aromantic and tried to live that lifestyle due to high anxiety...at least until he met Laura.

Professor X - This version of X never surfaces long enough to dedicate any time to himself, so he loosely considers himself asexual. He’s actually gay, but probably won’t discover that in the Prime Universe </3

Doppelganger universe:

Charles Xavier - Demisexual/Graysexual. He isn’t entirely sure and tends not to dwell on it. Formerly identified as asexual before a heated debate with Magneto ended with them in bed. For this version of Charles, his sex drive is primarily tied to intense emotion and his inability to get over Erik Lehnsherr.

James Darkholme - Bisexual, with a strong preference towards women (same ratio as James Prime.) He thought he was straight for the longest time, until he joined Torchwood and found himself crushing on Captain Jack Harkness. 

Vivian Lehnsherr - Bisexual, with a strong preference towards men. She has experienced attraction to both before, although hasn’t been with a woman (yet??) She’s still in love with Charles Xavier and right now, that keeps getting in the way.

Malekith - Panromantic, possibly asexual or demisexual. He’s not really sure and since regenerating into Tennant’s face, hasn’t taken any time to figure that out. As a Dark Elf, he identified as asexual.

Wyl Darkholme - Non-binary. They’re still figuring out their sexuality but might be gay?

Dark!Blake - Heterosexual. Still possesses lingering anxiety but after learning to control his powers, he’s less afraid of physical touch.

Second Chances:

Charles Xavier - Asexual Biromantic, with a preference towards men. Mostly Erik. They’re happily married and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Second Chances Charles tends to use telepathic intimacy as a substite for sexual intimacy. Wherever that puts him, he’s happy with.

X - Gay but also possibly demisexual? He really only experiences attraction towards Erik, but that might be because Erik is the only man to sit down and really get to know him.

Vivian Lehnsherr - Similar to her doppelganger universe counterpart, she’s bisexual with a strong preference towards men. She still hasn’t been with a woman but had an on-again, off-again relationship with Remy LeBeau before meeting her future husband.

Guinevere Lehnsherr - Asexual Aromantic. She’s perfectly content with familial love and support.

Rahne Sinclair - because I really wanna get the New Mutants storyline off the ground again— Rahne is gay but is still learning to openly accept that part of herself. She’s never really had a safe place to do that </3

Who accidentally pushes a door instead of pulling/vice versa X. Erik can always tell which way a door opens because of his powers.

Who doodles little hearts all over the desk with their initials inside them As cute as it is to imagine Magneto doing this, I feel like I'd only ever see this side of Erik in the Oxford or N vs S AUs XD X would probably want to but since he's universally bad at handling his emotions, he'd never get that far. Who starts the tickle fights Erik~ Who starts the pillow fights Okay so technically X, throwing a pillow at Erik to (non-seriously) shut him up...and then Erik would throw one right back and a pillow fight ensues. Who falls asleep last, watching the other with a small affectionate smile They both absolutely do this<3 Who mistakes salt for sugar X, especially early on Who lets the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1am in the morning Probably Erik. Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines ERIK and it drives X crazy XDD Who rearranges the bookshelf in alphabetical order Erik only because he knows Charles will have a private fit if his books are disorganized. Who licks the spoon when they’re baking brownies So I think they both would but Charles is the one baking and handing them spoons (mostly to keep them occupied but they also both never had a real childhood so these little things are important to experience.) Since Erik hovers around most often, Erik mostly gets the spoons ;3 Who buys candles for dinners even though there’s no special occasion Ooh...again, I think Erik is the one to take initiative...but I don't think either of them would buy the candles XD this is more something Charles does (or sends Vivian out to fetch.) There are then candles in the house, free to use and surprise significant others' with. Once Erik does this a few times, X gives it a shot.

Who draws little tattoos on the other with a pen I can see this mostly in the Oxford AU, and X is the one doodling. Mostly to bother/"flirt with" Erik XD Who comes home with a new souvenir magnet every time they go on vacation XDDDDDD X. As a joke. Because I mean. Come on. The "real" present is waiting for him in the bedroom~

Who convinces the other to fill out those couple surveys in the back of magazines Hm...I think Erik might, just to tease X because he and Charles filled one out earlier and a flustered X is very cute.

💭 Charles/Professor X on Emily!Prime

My muse’s honest thoughts towards your muse

“Oh I...I-I like Emily very much,” said Charles softly. “She saved my life, along with James. I didn’t, um...I really d-didn’t deserve that b-b-b—at the time,” he added, cheeks suddenly red in frustration.

“She’s always been kind to me, right from the s-start. I’m thankful for that.” He pulled at his sleeves, averting his gaze. After a moment, Charles looked up again. “She’s my daughter-in-law now, can you b-believe it? I never thought I’d have a family--not like this--and now I-I’m a grandfather.”

“Bullshite,” X huffed, scowling at the other man. Charles cowered, scurrying behind the Door that kept them apart on any given day. When he heard it click in the back of his head, the louder, sharper telepath swore. 

“Charles sees the world the way he wants to. He can’t handle anything more and I can’t hold that against him. It doesn’t mean he’s right,” the telepath added. “Emily isn’t the worst under this roof but she’s certainly no saint. The way she and this bloody family carry on, walking on eggshells lest they wake me up...maybe if they stopped hovering over him like prison guards I wouldn’t have to check in. Of course, nobody bothers to ask how I feel about the situation: I can use my powers, Charles can’t and that’s all that matters to them.”

Charles, are you ever concerned that Erik will fall for X and leave you? He is a physical copy of you but with less baggage.

“I used to be. A little bit, anyway. I used to worry that maybe...Ah...maybe Erik m...m-m-might see how much easier it can be with a partner that d-doesn’t share my...shortcomings. Erik is a good m-man but he’s only human and we are f-flawed as a species. X has full use of his abilities and his body and when it comes to...c-c-certain other activities, he isn’t...like me either.

Here Charles paused, scratching his arm.

“I used to worry about all this...but I realized X is f-flawed in his own way. I don’t want to betray his trust but I-I-I can offer Erik plenty as his husband.” His hands balled into loose fists; he looked down, his eyes on his wedding band.

“I’m a good listener. I’m very kind. I-I forgive earnestly, p-providing someone is really willing to change. I can bake just about anything and I-I‘ve a decent sense of style, if I may be so bold...”

Charles paused again, biting his bottom lip. His heart thumped and knocked against his ribs-nervous, but not quite ready to run. He drew in a slow breath and looked up.

“M...m-most of all, I love with my whole heart. I’ll do anything for my family if it’s within my power. So yes I c-come with b-baggage; whatever care I need I can give back in my own way and that’s what really matters. If you don’t believe me, ask Erik. He told me this long before I believed it, myself.”
