What Will Wheel? Aether Revolt #2
It’s Wednesday evening, so that means it’s time for another “What Will Wheel?”, where I basically show you the cards from a newly opened booster pack and ask you what you think will “wheel”, or come back to you, in a Draft with that set. Part of being a skilled Limited player is being able to rank the power levels of certain cards, making a decision to choose one card over another, and taking the risk on hoping that another card will come back to you in Draft, so I think this is a fairly skill-testing exercise that we can all benefit from. :D
I’m trying out a different format of displaying a randomly generated booster pack today: I basically copied and pasted the card images into one large image, this time including the basic land. As a reminder, the Draft format for the upcoming set will be AER-AER-KLD, i.e. two packs of Aether Revolt first and then one pack of Kaladesh last. In this particular pack, there are tons of good cards here, so here are my two questions for you:
What is your first pick? (A good follow-up question: What direction/archetype are you hoping to head toward with that first pick?)
What six cards, beside the basic Mountain, do you think will wheel when this pack comes back to you?
