Even on holiday, I gravitate towards a green smoothie for breakfast. Do you eat meat? I’ve been having a lot of conversations this week about whether or not meat should be included in our diets. # I personally don’t think this is a black or white issue. Some people feel better when they include meat in their diets and some people are natural vegetarians / pescatarians / vegans. It’s really about what works for you on an individual level. # Is this a sign of getting older, realising that things are rarely black and white? The funny thing is, I used to be a very militant vegetarian (who actually ate a very poor vegetarian diet) 🤷🏽‍♀️. # Here’s what I believe: If you do eat meat, eat the highest quality meat you can afford. I LOVE having a cup or two of coffee in the morning. I love the ritual of making it and the smell and taste of a steaming hot cup. # And there are health benefits too! Yes, really! As long as you stick to 2-3 cups a day and balance it out with lots of water, you can benefit from the B vitamins, potassium, magnesium and antioxidants in coffee. # Coffee can also improve brain function, which is obviously why I feel so much smarter after I have a cup 🤣 Caffeine blocks one type of neurotransmitter that can hold you back and increases noradrenaline and dopamine, leading to enhanced firing of neurons. # How do you like your coffee? After three years, 200 hours of student clinics, hundreds of lectures and countless hours of study (& blood, sweat and tears 💪🏽), I've qualified as an Nutritional Therapist. Doing this on top of being a mom to an active four year old, keeping my marriage on track and working in the advertising industry has sometimes been a lot.
