It’s not often that Oscar is treated to cupcakes - not even when the break is on. But today it’s his birthday and yeah, that is a special day. Even when his family can’t be there. He spent the day with Artturi. They slept in, went for a run and stopped at the little bakery right in front of the apartment building where they live.
They meet Lando there and Lando almost begged Artturi to allow him to buy a cupcake for Oscar. One with a big fat frosting on top, rainbow sprinkles and cookies crumbs. And after a few seconds Artturi nodded, a lazy movement of his hand before he stepped back and left Lando and Oscar on their own for a second.
Back in his apartment Artturi even sticked a candle into the cupcake, told Oscar to wish for something before he blew it out, a comfortable smile on his face. The candle was pulled out of the cupcake, stuck between his lips to lick away any remains from the frosting. Oscar could feel Artturi’s stare already, the thumb that was lifted to swipe away a bit of frosting that was still stuck his bottom lip.
