Testing Location Instructions.

Governor’s Address.

W.Va. Gov. Jim Justice will address the state’s residents at 11 a.m. with an update concerning the COVID-19 crisis, and he will include any new orders for citizens and businesses. The governor last addressed West Virginia Saturday evening.

Adjusted Meal Plan in Ohio County.

Ohio County Schools is committed to providing students with meals as the governor’s closure of West Virginia schools remains in place. Bagged breakfast and lunch meals will be available to students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday at the sites listed below. Students or parents are asked to visit the site closest to their home. The updated pickup locations are listed below. Bridge Street Middle School (Parking Lot Door)Madison Elementary School (Side Door Near North York Street)Ritchie Elementary School (Front of School)Triadelphia Middle School (Front of Annex Building)Warwood School (Elementary Cafeteria Door)West Liberty Elementary School (Back Door)  Ohio County Schools Superintendent Kim Miller said the school system plans to provide students with meals until the school closure is lifted, and times and locations are subject to change. She commended Ohio County Schools employees for their efforts in making the meals available to students. “We provided nearly 13,000 meals to our students last week,” Miller said. “I’m so proud of the way our staff members came together. What they accomplished was amazing, and it was because they care so much for our students. We’ll continue to do everything we can to meet the needs of the children.”

City of Wheeling Offices Closed.

Mayor Glenn Elliott announced Saturday that all offices doing businesses for the city will be closed beginning Monday morning. Most city departments offer residents the opportunity to pay bills online. The city did announce last week that shut offs concerning overdue water bills.

Y Why Not Talk.

Lori Jones, the executive director of the Wheeling YWCA, will be a guest on The Watchdog (98.1 FM WKKX and 97.7 FM WVLY) at 2 p.m. today to offer updates in the services made available by the non-profit, and she will also explain how the organization is attempting to help during this unprecedented time.

Bars and Restaurants Open for Carry-Out Orders.

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice ordered all bar, casinos, restaurants, and limited visitor lottery parlors to close last week but did include the fact carry-out and delivery services can remain in operation.  The governor’s order is very similar to the one issued by Ohio Gov.
