Oh god... um. Devil In The White City is fantastic. It's a non-fiction (and like one of the few I'd ever recommend) but it's about the Chicago World's Fair and H.H. Holmes' Murder Castle. It's pretty damn fantastic. I also have an entire book rec list here.

I have got a terrible thing for listening to Britney Spears music. But it's most of her music and you only asked for a song so I'd say Nicki Minaj's Super Bass.

Shit. Like all of them. I guess either Hercules or Mulan probably. I have literally seen every single Disney Movie ever made okay, including Song of the South and The Black Cauldron and all the shitty sequels too.

Last television show/movie you watched?

Last TV Show? Teen Wolf I think. Movie? Rise of the Guardians.

Plays or musicals?

Okay that's tough because there are some fantastic musicals out there *cough cough* BOOKOFMORMON *cough cough* and then some that have great scores but don't really make a bunch of sense *cough cough* CATS *cough cough* and then some that have been bastardized by VHS *cough cough* LITTLESHOPOFHORRORS *cough cough*. But there are a lot of plays I like too, so yeah.

Best part about your town/hometown?

We have the "Save Ferris" Water Tower and a lot of the John Hughes movies were shot in my hometown.

If you could only eat one type of carb for the rest of your life (among other things) what would it be?

Potatoes. I don't even care if that's a carb or not. Potatoes.

If you got to spend the day with anyone (alive or dead - and at any point in their life) who would you choose? (If someone at a different age than they would be at present, mention when you would visit them.)

Well, I've got a lot of problems with the whole time stream thing so I'd probably just spend the day with Tom Hiddleston and see what it's like to be famous and what it's like to be an awesome person like that.

You get to relive up to two hours of your life. What part do you choose?

Again time stream problems so I guess I would pass on that ability.

Ender's Game, fo' sho'.  I love the psychology of Ender, and the way he interacts with his world.  Also, intelligent characters who see beyond what they're told are the death of me.

Jesus, this is a good question.  I want to say something about Benedict Cumberbatch, but I've got to be honest here: Someone who has willfully left Westboro Baptist Church.  I want to speak with someone who lived those ways, and has changed their mind.

I really don't know!  My first instinct is to say The Golden Compass, but it's more the world and the concepts in those novels that I love than the actual plot.  I guess I'll say that one, though, because it could lead to a lot of great conversations about daemons.

Last television show/movie you watched?

I have a rotation of shows that I've already seen but watch every night before I fall asleep.  I'm currently re-watching Red Dwarf, but also in the rotation are Adventure Time, Spongebob, Arrested Development, and Futurama.  The last show I watched that is airing now is The Musketeers, which is pretty great.

Plays or musicals?

Definitely plays.  I don't really like musicals.

Best part about your town/hometown?

I'll talk about where I have lived for the past few years, Virginia Beach, rather than my hometown.  The weather is nice here, people are friendly, and it's very racially/ethnically diverse.  When people (like studio execs) say that members of a certain group won't go see certain movies (sci-fi and fantasy, usually), I want to bring them here and show them how wrong they are.  I see everybody everywhere.  It's great.

If you could only eat one type of carb for the rest of your life (among other things) what would it be?

Bagels (everything bagels).

My favorite historical figure is Johannes Kepler.  He did a lot of the groundwork for modern astronomy, and he didn't get any accolades during his lifetime.  He was wrong about a lot of things, but his efforts were important.  I would love to spend time with him on a day when he's feeling discouraged about his work and just be nice to him.

You get to relive up to two hours of your life. What part do you choose?

I'd choose to relive some of the time I had with my dog, Baby.  She was very affectionate and sweet.  When I got her, her former owner said that she didn't like to play, but she actually loved to play if you were gentle with her.  It was a lot of fun.  She also loved to sit on my lap and to curl up under the covers with me.

I WAS TOYING WITH THE IDEA OF DOING LIKE VERY SKELETAL ANALYSIS FOR THE MOST POPULAR 5-10 PLAYS AS WELL JUST HITTING UP THEME/ MAIN MOTIFS, SO THAT WILL PROBABLY ALSO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE I JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE BEST WAY TO DO THAT.
