One of my favourite photos of all time...I took this with my #Nikon D40, the first #SLR I ever bought, which got stolen a year later in #Ecuador. I can still see the face of the guy that took it as he helped us get through the border crossing and when I put my bag down, for less than 10 seconds, to pay for my bus ticket he vanished along with my camera bag, including my awesome #suunto dive watch which I'm still to replace 😞 The most upsetting thing was the 3k plus photos on the camera that I hadn't been able to backup due to the remoteness of our travels prior to that. So TIP1; never ever ever put your bag down. TIP2; backup your photos as often as possible. TIP3; have multiple hard drives, usb sticks and cloud accounts to store your data in more than one place. Anyway back to the awesome photo on Koh Tao - this is my favourite place in the world and I go back as often as I can. There is something very special about #KohTao and when I jump off the boat and step onto this pier I fee like I'm #home.
