Faerie books?? 🧚‍♀️ Especially anything with more traditional faerie lore

Okay so the obvious answer is all things Holly Black. From Tithe to The Folks of Air, she's pretty much the YA faerie queen. (My personal favorite of hers is The Darkest Part of the Forest)

In a similar vein to Tithe, there's also Lament and Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater.

If you don't mind indie, The Last Man by Tobias Wade matches up to a lot of what I learned about faeries growing up.

And I haven't read these, but I know a lot of people love Seanan McGuire's October Daye series and Laini Taylor's Faeries of Dreamdark

i feel like all the shows for dimension 20 (fantasy high, escape from the bloodkeep, the unsleeping city) are revolutionary ways to play D&D, and is a great example of why not sticking to the rules results in a more collaborative story telling experience. its also a lot less grimdark than other D&D shows, while still making emotional, heartfelt moments that make me cry. the reason why ive been moving away from critrole and TAZ, and towards dimension 20, is because i trust that the DM and the players will make an enjoyable show; and no matter what happens, i will be satisfied with the story brennan and the players tell, which i cant say the same for CR or TAZ right now
