A white activist just tagged my art as white washing. Like dude POC skin comes in all ranges of tone. Your people don't own fair skin. Though dark skin representation needs love and I'm hella down for that, DON'T think for 1 sec that light skin POC aren't valid. Being POC isn't defined by your skin tone. If you aren't here to support all types of POC then honestly gtfo.

I don’t go to #somervillecityhall much so I never knew that there was a #blacklivesmatterbanner on the front.  I found out when #somervillemapolicedepartment wanted it taken down and replace with an All Lives Matter banner because of the #fallenofficers of #dallas and #batonrougelousiana.  Basically the #fauxsolidarity of #lawenforcement in the usa.

The banner was put up months after #whiteBlackLivesMatteractivists were arrested for blocking #statehighwayI93 in #somerville #massachusetts in 2015. The #mayor of Somerville said the activists should not be charged.  A BLM chapter in the next town of #cambridge home to #harvard and the #massachusettsinstituteoftechnology asked him to put the banner up. #august2015 the #BLMbanner was put up.  Somerville Police said nothing.  I guess because highways are #statepolice #jurisdiction.

#july2016 officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge were killed in response to the #barackobamapresidency killing of #blackpeople.  So almost a year later Somerville Police all of sudden have a problem with the BLM banner.  Really!? I saw their tiny protest group on July 28, 2016.  The real reason they said nothing in 2015 was because Somerville Police would be clearly viewed as racist.  In 2016 they are hiding behind dead officers in the South that they probably don’t actually care about.  Which means they were never going to request the banner be taken down.  Somerville Massachusetts Police Department #byefelicia

I think it's funny that all these white people are like "yeah fuck the system! human rights! love is for everyone!" and they get so much attention as revolutionaries and activists and shit, but like, ummm, your ancestors are the reason why everything is so fucked up. They pretty much set everything up for you to be the fucking saviors. You're not doing anything radical, you're doing exactly what they intended you to do.
