Family Annihilators 👨🏻👩🏻
Pt.2
white Americans really long for the past when they casually ate black people
Donald Trump is the best representation of white America.
white Americans are stuck in the past and want to relive it, to the point that they want to destroy the future. white Americans want to be cheered on for their mediocrity and never contribute anything positive to society. white Americans would rather the whole world burn than advance it because they hate the idea of some group of people they hate benefitting from it. white Americans who would rather have authoritarian oligarchy than democracy for small, selfish reasons. white Americans would rather lie and scam than be honest. white Americans who want to take and take until there is nothing there.
white America will fail the US (and the world) & drag her into the modern dark ages in some pitiful attempt to feel superior. that is why Donald Trump is the best representation for white America.
I hope by Americans you mean WHITE americans because they're the main issue lets be for real
I mean I didn’t want to provoke them but… lol. I feel like white Americans cling to Irish heritage because we are a people who have suffered colonisation, so it kind of helps them feel less guilty about what their ancestors have done.
I love watching videos about white USA moms cooking because it's so fun (I find it fascinating bc everything looks disgusting and they always cook the same) but why are they sooo worried about protein? They have way too much protein in their dishes??? What about vitamins or fiber?
It sucks that racism has systematically reduced everyone to skintone for goddamn ever, but more specifically, I was just thinking about we'll describe all but black POC as being "of (insert geography/nation) descent" and ourselves as simply white because most of us only have a vague idea. My paternal grandparents' farm was established in 1919 by German immigrants-- I think they said it was my grandma's grandma-- but I know hardly anything about German culture, I was never taught the language, and I can fluently speak only English. Meanwhile, all I know about my maternal great-grandmother's background is that she knew Czech, but that she'd never teach anyone, even family, because she lived through xenophobia toward even Europeans. And, like, other white Americans will throw the word "heritage" around and gesture vaguely at the past two or three centuries, but it's not like we're of American descent, and... like, after colonists declared the U.S.A. a country and whatever... like, what, I don't really know what I could call American "culture" besides barbecue and the pledge of allegiance. We were a bunch of Europeans in a colonist trenchcoat and now we're a bunch of cliques in a capitalist trenchcoat, I dunno. I haven't seen much mention of what we call cultures or traditions that don't date back before cars and phones. Like, the U.S. was here before then, but... I'm getting sidetracked, this wasn't even the point.
I'm not qualified to relate to targets of racism or xenophobia. I was just reflecting on how racists and xenophobes also swept themselves up in cultural erasure, and I wonder what differences it would've made in my life if my families had a surviving relationship with the cultures of our recent ancestors, given the awkwardness of being born an American. We can't really understand what it's like whenever we've stripped other people of their cultures because we've already done that to ourselves, most of us don't really have a "before" to relate to, just this vague concept of "heritage."
