I love using white checks and red checks as metaphors. Like fully integrate that shit into your life.
Don’t like your art piece? thats a white check, feel free to come back to it later. Maybe try the concept again.
Totally bombed that interview? okay that sucks. might feel like you’re literally losing morale. But that red check isn’t the end of the world and its a part of your story now. Maybe it’ll even be funny to talk about someday.
But yeah. That’s what I liked about Disco Elysium’s mechanics. a lot of the times I preferred the “failed” check results anyways.
