Today I was driving down the road, a green speck of squint on the brow of reflection, and I realized I had made a wrong turn. Funny thing about being home is how we forget to grow our nouns in tandem with the changing of the seasons. see I was headed to the white hen to buy some juice and lighters and my hands used to steer that wheel like instinct so i trusted in my nouns and memory to take me there but. all of a sudden i was (lost) and (lost) is terrifying in a familiar place. and it's not called the white hen any more, it's the 7-11.

so my green speck reflection was all-at-once that purple pit realization that home is another 4-letter word we abuse. and i ought not to  depend on my hands so much to take me where i want to be going.
