Creative Inspiration with Emmalee Schaumburg
The excitement of the holidays are over and at our office we are discussing the amazing opportunities coming for 2014. One thing we are committed to in the new year is inspiring creativity in those around us. We had an opportunity over Christmas to work with a photography studio, Schaumburg Photography, that captures those special moments of a newborn or the funny moments between family members. We were able to take a little bit of Emmalee's time and see exactly what inspires her. Q: What's the most creative thing you've done in the past week? A: This past week I pursued a personal photography project and photographed Day of the Dead models. Q: What inspires you to be creative? A: Seeing the work of more experienced photographers inspires me to push myself harder to become better at what I do. Looking through fashion magazines inspires me to try different lighting techniques. Listening to leaders in my industry speak at conferences or online is also inspirational. Q: Who is your favorite artist and why? A: My favorite artist growing up was Salvador Dali and my favorite photographer was Ansel Adams. Today I have several, but those were the ones that inspired me at a young age. Emmalee Schaumburg is the owner and photographer of Schaumburg Photography & Bombshell in Lawrence, KS. schaumburgphotography.com facebook.com/schauburgphotography facebook.com/bombshelllawrence
