My brother died suddenly five weeks ago and I’ve been handling what I could as we wait for probate so I can deal with the financial stuff. My husband hasn’t been feeling well for some time and finally went to the doctor’s about it. They suspect aortic stenosis. His aortic heart valve has narrowed, restricting blood flow to his heart. He has to have tests to confirm it, then likely open heart surgery to correct it. If it’s as bad as the doctor suspects, he could literally fall over dead at any time. The province I live in has a premier that has fucked around with the health care system so much that it just adds to the stress. Not in a good place right now.
