I was really surprised, to be majorly triggered by skinny love. I dont know why, and I just keep listening to it aswell, and it feels almost physically painful now. I can feel myself sinking

, but. Can someone tell me what a diagnosis process is like? How long, how do you know when its done etc etc? Im so panicky I wont be able to speak to him properly :( My mum was also a child psychology major and agrees

I think the first part of your ask might've gone missing and I'm sorry for that D:

For me, in Germany, it worked like this

1 hour talk with a psychiatrist to introduce yourself and talk about why you're there etc.

testings

1 hour explaining diagnosis and possibilities of treatment

All of those were on different days and it might vary a lot, depending on the psychiatrist. They will ask a lot of questions, probably some about which you never really thought and some that don't relate to your problems at all, but they are important nonetheless.

What really helped me was making a list of all my symptoms, in great detail, and taking it with me to that first meeting. That way, I didn't forget to bring anything important up and I knew that if I lost the nerve, I could just hand over the list.
