I just took the Patronus thing on Pottermore and I...

I got a buzzard because i got interrupted in the middle and i’m pretty sure I missed some questions. Not having a pause option on a timed quiz thing, or an option to redo it, is a seriously flawed design.

That’s actually a really interesting patronus. I like it! There aren’t that many questions, but it’s possible. I actually have two accounts on Pottermore I might take it again just to see. On the other account, I’m a slytherin

I got an email from my school about HB2 this...

I’m also pretty sure the state court just ruled it has no place in schools… I think I saw something about it yesterday, but I could be wrong though

The case hasn’t gone to trial yet, and there’s already some noise about it being made on the federal level. The email was specifically about all of the UNCs refusal to enforce it. Which makes sense, b/c from what has been made very obvious about the 6 times I’ve been on campus UNC-G is probably one of the most LGBTA+ friendly schools in the state.  It’s really hard to keep up with it because there are so many things going on at both state and federal level about who/what/how it can/should/if be enforced. 

Anyways, someone said “hey, UNC maybe you should enforce this law?” and UNC said, ‘I’d prefer not to.” So now they’re going to court over it. That’s what I got from the email, anyways.

Thank your reblogging the "protect heteronormative aces" post. I've been working to embrace my sexuality and lately there's been a lot of subtle "you're not queen enough to be here" sentiment coming across my dash that's been making it really tough.

I’ve had a couple of epiphany moments in the last year or so, about myself, and while i’m not 100% asexual, i think the labels demiromantic and demisexual fit me like a glove (and from this stems my latest realization - i do find girls attractive [who wouldn’t? girls are BEAUTIFUL] so is it possible i could fall in love with one? who nows not me since i don’t think i’ve ever been in love with anyone ahahhaha ANYWAY) SO YES WELL THIS IS NOT WHY YOU WROTE ME A MESSAGE

Asexual people deserve to be represented and protected, and your sexuality is just as valid as anyone else’s is.

So my villain doesn’t have a name yet, so I call...

My bad guys boil down to military guy who’s only job is to get more land for a country rapidly losing other land by any means necessary and elf whose sole motivation is revenge for some unknown thing the mercenaries did before Vil joined them. They are known as the general and the elf. At least yours is amusing.

Okay, but not really. I thought about changing his pajamas into something completely ridiculous, like Batman onesie or something, but this is a SERIOUS SCENE IN A SERIOUS NOVEL. You can take the general and the elf seriously. You can’t take anybody seriously when they’re in the pjs.

I've been working on figuring out my identity lately and I've come to the conclusion that I'm most likely asexual and possibly gender-fluid with primarily female tendencies. I don't really have a question or anything; I just feel like I need to put it down somewhere besides in my own head and your being very accepting in combination with sleepover Saturday seemed like as good a time/place as any...

That’s okay. I got a new story idea and I’ve already had to research miscarriages and eating disorders…and that’s just the “writing synopsis” phase…

But Karen, why I am researching boys? Why is that on the list? I don’t need to research boys. I know at least 2 boys. I don’t even know what I need to know about boys?

writing is hard.

Also I’m debating whether or not one of my characters is going to have a miscarriage. But I think I have to spread the misery around a little bit. I’m letting some of my characters off a little too easy.
