Isn't there a kid there too, with Harry and Xander? I mean...what do people think? That Harry would be doing what exactly with X? Not to mention he knows ppl can see him/them. Xarry (and stans) makes my head hurt.

I think Xander has a kid from a previous relationship. I’m pretty sure he’s straight and don’t think he and Harry aren’t together. There’s been nothing romantic or sexual in their interactions. Having said that, I wouldn’t be shocked to discover they were in a relationship. Everything is so shady surrounding this band, I wouldn’t be shocked to discover that Niall is actually French, you know?!

Xarry stans, from what I have seen so far, don’t think they are together. There’s no real evidence to substantiate it. There’s a lot of talk about shipping Harry with happiness, which I understand. Of course you want your fave to be happy! That interests me from a larry perspective: I’ve tried to follow and engage with a range of blogs in the 1d fandom. Most of them are obsessed with larry in one form or another: as a ship; as a real relationship; opposed to larries ‘ruining their friendship’; or they just miss the way they interact. Larry is a huge deal! I see a lot of talk about supporting/shipping larry being ‘painful’. I think lots of people unstan because of that (I know because I’ve been unstanning for a while). I’ve spoken to a few 'antis’ and some of them are also former larries. You can’t escape!

Once you stop shipping/supporting larry, life is difficult in the fandom. There are very few neutral blogs, and everyone has different headcanons, so it’s difficult to follow blogs on the same wavelength as you. This is where I think things like Hazoff, Xarry Gryles etc come from. The ships are harmless fun and far less painful than trying to prove larry all the time. The interactions are fun; there’s lots of evidence that Harry is happy in these friendships. These ships and fandoms will continue to grow as it becomes ever more certain that Harry isn’t straight and being a larrie becomes more difficult and frustrating.

I’ve seen theories that Xarry is just like Hazoff, a legitimate friendship. Harry does tend to be very intense in his friendships, spending lots of time publicly with people before moving on to someone new. I’ve seen a theory that Harry is deliberately playing Xarry up because he is fed up with larry speculation. I’ve only been in the fandom a short while (what a time to arrive!), but I do see a clear parallel with the way Gryles and Hazoff came about. Harry also posted a pic of Jeff on instagram and spent so much time with him; he was seen publicly going home with Nick (an openly gay man no less) and still spends time with him! He’s always just done as he pleases.

Not sure if this is of any use whatsoever, just felt like going on a rant! x
