HEY!!!! I am wondering if you can make a goat variety Platonic or Romantic where GN Reader is part of the Thorns but then leaves and becomes part of team Magma for whatever reason you want to pick, and then in the final Mane hits or injuries GN Reader because they felt guilty and helped Will/Thorns out. You can decide the rest of it
(PS: You don't have to if you have many requests or are too busy)
I LOOOVE angst! This took FOREVER since I made sure reader gets a moment with each character and I took a few lines from the movie but didn't exactly replicate them

Will was having fun with the team after the game against the Shadows, laughing along with everybody else at the poker table before he noticed Jett sitting alone against the window.
"Uhh hey.. should we ask Jett to play?"
And everyone immediately went dead silent after that.
Archie slammed a hoove down the table next to Will, leaning in close with a narrowed gaze. "Hey, you trying to ruin the only one fun thing we got going on here?" He muttered towards Will, who seemed to tense up on his seat. Olivia joined in on the whispering. "We won, without Jett." She whispered, before leaning in as well. "I can't believe we're talking like this.. She could be listening!"
Jett heard, but pretended not to. Filling her ears with music instead as she turned to the window with a faux look of oblivion. "Meow meow, meow meow meow meow~" Her earbuds sang drowning out the voices of the Thorns.
"But why?" Will asked once more, both Archie and Olivia leaning back into their seats once they knew Jett decided not to listen in. "When we win, she wants to be the one who won the win." Lenny replied, shuffling his cards for a bit with a mild bored look.
"And we can't forget about.. the incident." Olivia whispered out that got everyone to freeze up, even Modo—and especially Jett. Her eyes widened in shock, and pain. She looked away, hiding the huge frown on her face from the team inside the other room. The goat's curiosity only got bigger once he saw how serious the air was getting.
Olivia set her card down for a moment, her face now solemn as she started storytelling. "Well.. this just happened recently. It all started two days before you got signed as the new sixth player." She started with a firm look, until she got interrupted by Will with his hoove in the air like he was asking the teacher to pick him. "Oh oh oh! You mean when Flo replaced (Y/n) (l/n) with me? Yeah I think I've heard this before. I guess Jett got upset that they replaced a player with a small." He exclaimed before getting shushed by the team.
"Oh.. it's so much more than that." Lenny added with a small frown, beside him Olivia nodded with the same solemn look.
Another loss for the Thorns.
Each loss was chipping away at their reputation, their dignity. And Jett was fuming like an active volcano ready to blow at any second.
Everyone stayed away, afraid of getting caught up with her rage. But you didn't, and that was a big mistake.
"Jett, calm down. We'll get the next game." You tried to reassure the black panther, who's figure was seated at a bench—hunched over with tense shoulders and bearing teeth. Her golden eyes snapped to yours, pupils sharpened into diamonds. "No, (Y/n), we are NOT getting the next game with the state of our team! Your all supposed to play your part but you deliberately went off the rails! Are you all trying to lose the game?!" Her figure abruptly stood up from the seat, her voice like thunder in a storm—and you were in the middle of it.
"We can't guarantee a win, the only important thing is was trying our bes-"
"But your best isn't enough, is it?!" Her words cut you off, snapping your jaw shut as she snarled with her claws unseathed out of pure frustration. The other Thorns were still far from you guys, but they definitely are within earshot of the argument. Olivia tried reaching to you with a wing, knowing it was futile to calm down Jett. But you held a hand up, stopping her from doing so.
"Your upset, I know that. But you should trust your team more, your not the only one who's playing on the court." You argued back as Jett rolled her eyes in response. "Trust? How can I trust you all if you don't give me a reason to? If you want trust from me, then you got it. I trust you all to pass the ball to ME so that we can finally win a game for once!" She hissed out, taking a step closer completely overshadowing you with a furious glare.
Everyone had already backed away, just one more step until they are out of the locker room. They had not expected this confrontation from anybody, but they knew the tension. Which is why you stood firm to address it.
"Stop being the entire team and be selfless for once!" You yelled back, and Jett went silent. Not the 'I finally realized' silence, but the terrifying kind.
The calm before the storm.
"Selfless? Are you calling me selfish?" Jett hissed out, her ears pushed back in growing agitation. But you didn't care, not once moving a single inch from where you were standing. At this point Archie stepped forward, not completely in between you two to break eye contact, but enough to be there to stop anything from going horrible.
"Hey hey.. let's all just cool down-"
"Maybe the team is better off without you."
This time, the silence came from you.
Your eyes widened in shock, your entire chest heavy as if it was carrying concrete. But Jett didn't care about the pained expression from you, because all she saw was her rage—completely blinding her from being rational and careful with her words. "Maybe you are the reason why the Thorns aren't winning a single game. Maybe your just pure bad luck. Maybe it's your FAULT for EVERYTHING!"
Save for Jett's heavy breathing, the team's careful exhales, and your shallow breaths. You didn't know how to respond to that, didn't know how you should react.
This was the same black panther who you comforted each time she'd silently ask for it, and each time she'd thank you for it. This was the same black panther you'd pull in your arms and hold her until she falls asleep.
Is she really the same black panther?
Before you could argue back—not like you have anything to say anyway—clapping of hooves cut through the silence, followed by a familiar chuckle. "Well well well, I seem to be a witness of a catfight." Flo mused with a smirk, amused by the inner conflict rather than being worried about it.
"Yes yes yes, the team is terrible! But it's not like it's little (Y/n)'s fault is it?" She added as she trotted closer, completely ignoring the red flags of the situation as she squeezed your cheek catching you off guard. "Unless.. you really feel like they are stopping you from being the GOAT." The hog drawled out with a cunning grin, and you knew what she was doing.
"Our sweet (Y/n) shouldn't be the reason for your downfall, why not have them off the team and let me introduce you to a new Thorn player! I found him from the internet and had to search all around like some madhog. I think you'll really like him." Flo suggested with a low chuckle, her eyes on her painted hooves before it flickered back to Jett in anticipation.
She was completely taking advantage of Jett's anger right now, knowing full well she's just doing it for the money. You knew if you don't stop it in time it'll only get worse. Your gaze snapped back at Jett, who never once took her glaring eyes off of you. But you didn't meet her gaze with a glare back, instead you had pleading eyes. Eyebrows knitted in worry, a slightly agape mouth that formed into a frown.
"Get them off, anybody is better." Jett growled out without hesitation, and left without looking back. Leaving you to stand there absolutely horrified and betrayed.
How can she just toss you aside so easily like that?
"Well you heard the black cat! Clean out your locker sweetie pie and enjoy the free burdens of playing!" Flo said unto you with a 'sweet' smile, petting your back when she left with a cackle.
When the two left everyone immediately surrounded you in worry, they tried reaching you with your words but it was no use. You were far too deep into your sorrows to hear their muffled voices.
"And that was the last we've seen of (Y/n).. we haven't heard of them ever since." Lenny finished with a frown, letting out a sigh as he lifted his gaze up from his cards and towards Will. Archie frowned with a nod when he set his cards down solemnly. "They really helped a lot, not just to us.. but to Jett. But I guess it's better this way, the argument would've happened anyway sooner or later. Their presence is really missed though." He sighed softly, leaning back against his seat as he recalled the many times (Y/n) would babysit his daughters.
They really were the only one who can keep up with the twins, not even he can keep up himself.
"Yeah.. (Y/n) was a one of a kind. They'd find ways to uplift everyone and they'd somehow succeed it.." Lenny replied with the same frown on his face. "But.. unfortunately, not every time." He added with a murmur, recalling the argument between them and Jett. "It's really a shame though, (Y/n) been nothing but supportive of my.. hobby when nobody else knows about it." Lenny mentioned with a small shrug, but was immediately put into the spotlight when Olivia revealed what that hobby is. "Lenny, is a rapper." She mused making the giraffe fumble on his seat.
"Aww come on Liv.. stop trying to put me in the front. You know I don't take it too seriously." He sheepishly ranted, nervously fiddling with his hooves. "Okay.. I take it a bit seriously." He added knowing he had already made many albums throughout his years. "Yeah, and he also made an album dedicated to (Y/n)!" Olivia snickered causing Lenny to blush furiously when the ostrich started spilling everything on the table. "Liv!"
Will perked up at the mention of an album, he grinned widely and leaned against the table with a huge look of amusement. "Really?? What's it 'bout?" He asked Olivia—who smirked at Lenny first before completely spilling the beans. "It's not exactly dedicated to them, but I think some of the lines goes.. 'Fragile to me but monster on the play to all, come in my arms whenever you'll fall' which, no offense, a bit corny and romantic if you think about it. And it's totally dedicated to-"
"Alright alright! Quit it!" Lenny interjected, his face nearly red as a tomato getting everyone at the table to laugh at his flustered state.
Jett's music had slowly started to die down, now officially listening to everyone at the table. The moment your name was mentioned, she immediately felt a wave of nostalgia and regret wash over her. She leaned her head against the glass, her ears pushed back in sadness.
Her mind started reminiscing all the memories she had with you—fond memories that she could never replicate with anybody else.
"GRAAAHH!" Jett kicked a nearby trash bin in the Greenhouse, after she had just received numerous hate comments of her being old on media. Since it's been a while she's won a game, everybody was blaming it on her age. The black panther started pacing around, her paws on her hips as she walked circles at the center of the court. "What do they know anyway?! I am NOT that old! They should really just mind their own business and-" Her pacing stopped when she noticed you stand there holding a ball, presumably was about to train before you spotted her.
"Rough morning?" You asked with a small smile, Jett's frustration didn't ease up in the slightest. "Puh-lease, as if you'd understand what it's like." She grumbled mainly out of irritation—not to you. "Your right, I don't." You simply replied, turning around to shoot the ball into the net.
You watched it bounce off to the side for a moment before you turned back around to approach the black panther. "That's why I'm here to listen." You smiled at her, mimicking her pose by putting your hands on your hips. "Come on, I wanna know what the great Jett Fillmore is so frustrated about."
Your words got her to relax, slightly. It didn't take off everything from her shoulders, so she decided to give it a shot.
You both found a seat to talk in, and that's where she started venting out all of her problems. The internet, everyone's expectations, her title, even her back problems. It just spilled without stopping and she didn't know how to stop.
But you pulled her into your arms, and that's when she finally went silent.
Hesitatingly—after a few seconds of debate with herself—Jett wrapped her arms around yours as well, resting her head on top of yours.
"Thanks.. I didn't know I needed this.." She muttered out, electing a soft chuckle from you. "Don't mention it, I'm happy to be of use to you." You replied in a soft murmur as the two of you held each other close for a couple of minutes before eventually letting go. The silence filled the atmosphere, but it seemed more lighter now.
"Does this mean I'm your favorite now?" You teased with a small bump of your shoulder against hers. Jett scoffed softly with a small shake of your head. "Don't get ahead of yourself."
And what followed after was nothing but pure endearment and laughter—more from you and just chuckles for Jett. But nonetheless you two enjoyed each other's company.
'This.. feels nice.' Jett thought to herself as she took her time to just stare at your smiling face, so beautifully happy in her presence. Most would be intimidated, nervous—but you weren't. Which made her grow.. attached.
Hopefully this'll last long.
But it didn't, and it was nobody's fault but hers.
Jett kept blaming herself over and over, wanting nothing more but to just go back in time just to keep you there by her side.
Sure Will made them win, but he was nothing compared to you.
She can't laugh with Will, she can't vent to Will, she can't be vulnerable to Will and spill out her secrets.
A growl left her throat, all these memories and thoughts were getting to her head causing countless headaches. She rubbed her forehead for a moment with closed eyes, trying to get rid some of the pain whilst the team continued on conversing in the other room.
"And I'm a total bust, probably the biggest of all Roarball's history.." Olivia sighed out with a defeated gaze, the words of the internet filling up her thoughts as Lenny tried comforting her. "Come on Liv.. don't say that." He said before getting an immediate reply from the ostrich. "It's true! Who's name do you think of when you hear 'poster child'?" She ranted with a frown, Modo peeking from the side with a wide grin.
He immediately got a face full of feathers from the scowling ostrich, not enough to hurt him but enough for him to retreat back into his seat.
Archie sighed softly at the two before he turned back to Will. "Listen, point is that this team is pretty unstable. (Y/n) was the most decent one out of all of us, giving that they're the only one who could glue everyone back together for at least a minute or two. I don't know what Jett is thinking about all of this.. but it's best if you don't disturb her about the topic.. alright?" The rhino adviced, earning a small nod from the goat.
"Sure sure.. I could handle that." He replied with a smile, getting the team to sigh in relief knowing he'd keep his word.
He did NOT keep his word.
What started out as an argument between them about being the GOAT, had turned into an argument about something else entirely.
"We finally won, and you weren't even on the court!"
Everyone gasped at that, even Modo. "Now I feel weird.. is this how I make everyone feel?" He muttered out, having an inner conflict within himself as the two continued on.
"Oh so what? Your calling me insignificant? You think just because you scored a few points entitled you to be a professional on Roarball? Your only here for the attention, not because your wanted." Jett fired back with a snarl, taking a step closer before Archie stopped her with a hoove in her shoulder. "Hey hey.. easy now.." He calmly said, a sense of deja vu washing over the entire team.
This argument was getting a bit too familiar.
"Like how you didn't want (Y/n) and kicked them off the team?!" Will argued back, but immediately shut his jaw the moment he realized the words he said. But it was already too late.
Silence engulfed the entire room, not a single sound was heard. Even a cricket was too scared to chitter.
Jett's eyes went from wide in shock, to absolute fury. But most of all, devastation.
She spent the entire night trying to get you off her mind, trying to drown out the laughter and moments you two shared. Having Will out of all animals, who came from literally nowhere, throw that name back at her.
Everyone gathered around Jett instantly, worried she might actually pounce and devour the goat right then and there. But instead she was silent, just a raging statue that is overflowing with thousands of emotions coursing through her entire body.
She should've yelled back, call for Flo to have her personally kick Will out before she'd murder him.
But she didn't want a repeat of the same situation.
Oh how she wish she walked away when it was you she was arguing with, but for now this'll do.
Jett turned around without a word, slamming the doors shut. The atmosphere was suffocating that it had Modo holding his breath, for an impressive amount of minutes.
"WHEEEEZEEE... whew.. that was hard to hold in." The Komodo dragon grumbled out, his face almost blue from the air that was drowning everybody's lungs.
Will decided to follow Jett, uncaring if she'd potentially kill him for that. But he knew he should try apologizing, it's the least he can do for upsetting her so much.

Jett felt a little bit better after that, and so did the rest of the team. Now they were working more efficiently and effectively after Dennis took the wheel.
Everyone seemed to have found their flow.
Well, there is one last thing somebody has to do.
Inside the mansion Jett laid on her bed, her paws hovering over the keyboard debating whether or not what to text.
Well, it's none other than you.
For a while Jett just scrolled through your past convos, all the jokes and banter shared in each reply—even the goodnights with heart emojis on them. Jett would occasionally reply with a goodnight too, rarely with a heart when she's in a good mood.
But all of those were weeks ago, now the convos were as cold as ice.
So now she's trying to change it.
Until.. you texted first.
(Y/n): Hey. Saw your game.
(Y/n): Just means we might see each other again, but not in the way your thinking of probably.
Jett stared at the screen bewildered, just what were you saying?
Jett: What do you mean by that?
(Y/n): I guess you can say that our 'fight' isn't over yet, we're getting a rematch down the line. But it won't be verbal anymore.
And then you went offline.
What was that? It wasn't like you at all.
But then again, Jett knew she shouldn't question your attitude towards her. She was the one who made you like that anyways.
So with a steady sigh, she started texting.
Jett: (Y/n), you deserve this apology more in face to face. But I know we aren't exactly in good terms to meet each other soon, so I'm hoping you'll hear me out even if it you won't be able to see this message today. I just want you to know that I'm sorry for everything that I did to you, I'm sorry for the way I acted and the way I've treated you when all you did was show nothing but countless support and love..
Jett: And I miss it.. so much. What I'd give to hear your voice again, to be in your arms again, to be the one your focused on when everybody and nobody is around us. Please.. don't push me away, because I really really want to fix this.. fix us.
She waited for a reply, waited for a notification. But it didn't come for a while.
So she placed her phone down for a moment to let out a huge sigh when she just typed all of that in a single minute. It was nerve wracking, but it helped her unload some weight.
Her paw immediately snatched the phone back when she heard the notification, only to deadpan when it was just Modo taking a picture of himself and sent it to the group chat.
She ran a hand down her face, a bit irritated at getting her hopes up but she should've known better.
You wouldn't be replying any time soon-
This time, her eyes widened when you finally gave a reply. Only.. it was a photo?
"Huh?" Jett hummed in confusion before clicking on the photo you sent her, only to have her jaw absolutely drop on the floor of the image.
It was you, braiding Mane's hair?!
Mane mostly took up the space, holding up a peace sign with a smug grin as you braided his hair behind him, completely unaware of the stolen photo.
"ARE YOU- HOW- WHAT?!" Thousands of questions filled her head. What were you doing with Mane, why are you with him, why would you be with him.
It was overwhelming, and angering the black panther. And to top it all off Mane used YOUR account to block HER after HE sent the photo. Meaning she couldn't reply to you anymore, and he probably deleted her account from your phone too.
"Oh this little- AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!! I WILL SKIN YOU ALIVE MANE! DON'T LET ME CATCH YO PONY TAIL!"
Lenny was going through his notifications, particularly the popularity rate of his songs. "Mmmhmmm.. now that's what I like to see." He mused with a smile, nodding off to one of song as he continued reviewing the ratings. When the song ended another one immediately took over since it was on shuffle, but this time it was a completely mind stopping song.
Not because it had some fire verses, not because it was deep, but because of how it was produced.
He paused the song, taking a good look at the title. "Euphoria." He muttered out the title of the same song he composed with (Y/n). "Takes me back to memory lane.." He smiled softly as he leaned back against his chair he was seated on.
This song was made two months ago, where he was struggling in the locker room trying to find some lyrics to match the vibe. Just in time you entered with a towel around your neck after some drill practice. "Sup Lenny! Watcha doing?" You asked and approached the giraffe with a smile, who in return gave you a smile back. "Nothing much, just trying to make this as catchy as possible. Though there's like a firewall up in my head right now, I can't think of anything that could sound good." He replied with a small shrug.
"Oh! Let me help with that! I've always wanted to collab with a rapper!" You seated yourself next to him on the bench, unknowingly getting the giraffe to blush a little. "I'm not an official rapper yet.. just a small artist ya know?" He sheepishly grinned at you but you brushed it off with a wave. "Nonsense! Your still a rapper to me! A great one at that! I really like the way you do your beats and lyrics- I've heard some of them and even kept a playlist on my phone! I wanted to try composing a song myself but don't know how, so I'll learn from you!" You offered a big smile to the tall giraffe, before scooting yourself a bit closer to peek to his phone.
"Now tell me what you need to work on! I might have some ideas." You said with your eyes focused on the phone, unaware of the flustered mess beside you.
Lenny was trying to process the information from you. Sure some would listen to his songs, but he didn't expect anyone to make a playlist about it. He still got a few kinks to fix, but it was refreshing to know that somebody is out there absolutely loving the process even when it's not at it's best yet.
And that somebody was you.
Lenny recovered after a few minutes of being frozen, now his attention back to you as he tried to explain what it's about.
Ten minutes passed by and your back was now leaned against his side, your head still bent down at the phone as Lenny struggled to focus on the song when you were sitting so close.
"It's about feeling Roarball.. you know the energy- the battle a-and.. yeah.." He stammered out as you listened, nodding along with a small hum.
You looked so vulnerable, tucked at his side like a pillow. So soft, and fragile. Not the one who'd absolutely bake the opponent in a game.
'I think I got a few verses to add..' Lenny thought to himself with a smile as he listened to you ramble ideas that he'll definitely put into the songs.
And he kept his word, those verses were still in the song even if some of them were not his style. But he didn't care, at least you made them. "Really miss you (Y/n), I could really use a few ideas right now.. or just your voice in general.." Lenny muttered to himself with a soft sigh.

Olivia was in her home, on the phone again. Her eyes droopy in exhaustion from fighting many hate comments online. She made multiple anonymous accounts to reply to the haters on her posts, but she was getting tired of their endless assaults on her. "Just leave me aloooonee!!" She groaned out into her pillow, her voice muffled as she tossed her phone to the other side of the bed.
"(Y/n) would have cheered me up by now.." She muttered out with a small pout, reminiscing about the past she had with you.
For a long time ever since Olivia's debut to Roarball many fans kept calling her out for only being on the sport just to seek online validation and fame because of how much she posts. Which was a ridiculous reason.
Some of the Thorns thought of that at first as well, but you never once hesitated to welcome anybody in—especially her. You helped Olivia settle in the team with a warm smile and open arms. You told her she shouldn't care so much of the opinions of others and should just focus on herself.
You've repeated that, over and over.
And now you'll have to repeat it once more while you were hanging out with Olivia in her home.
"Come on Liv, it's just one hate comment. Who cares what they think?" You scoffed out as Olivia kept her eyes glued on the phone. "Yeah- just ONE hate comment on top of the other 99+ more comments!" She replied and shoved the phone to your face with a look of struggle. "Look! This is some professional writing about me!" You raised an eyebrow and narrowed your eyes to read the text.
"As someone who've seen countless Roarball players seeking a particular goal aside from winning, Olivia is guaranteed to be in one of the categories of fame hungry players who only uses-.. yikes.." You stopped with a cringe expression when you saw how long and awfully descriptive the comment was about her.
"I mean- it could've been AI.."
"This is from a freaking lawyer!"
"So what?! A professional is writing something about me in a negative light!"
You sighed through your nose as Olivia continued ranting endlessly about her reputation on media. You placed a hand to stop her, giving her back a firm squeeze that got her to stop.
"Come on, sit down with me." You slowly guided her to her bed, the two of you sitting at the edge as she continued gripping her phone with the same look of conflict. "And no phones." You snatched it away and tossed it aside, Olivia tried reaching it back but one firm look from you got her to halt.
"Liv.. your a professional too! It's childish for them to hate on you just because you post like everybody else! You shouldn't let their words get to your head, it'll mess you up." You started, taking her wing into your hand with a small smile. "They only want to see your flaws because they need somebody to make fun of, which is why they are ignoring your perfection." You gave her wing a squeeze, watching as she silently stared with her beak slightly agape.
"Here.. the next time they say things about you, don't let it get to your head. Remember my words instead, now repeat after me alright?" You watched her nod slowly, and you grabbed her other wing to fully set her focus on you. "I am good enough." You started, awaiting for her to repeat.
"I-.. I know.. who I am."
"I do not care about the opinions of others."
"I.. do not care about the opinions of others."
You smiled softly as she got more better each time she repeated you. "That's great.. now one more okay?" Olivia smiled and nodded, feeling a bit happier with how her wings fluttered slightly in your hands. Her tail wagging from behind causing you to giggle.
She declared loudly with a fierce look on her face making you laugh softly. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" You giggled out before releasing her wings to stand up, Olivia stared in confusion as you did and was about to pull you back because she liked your touch when she noticed you walk towards your bag to grab something.
"And as a reward.. I have something here for you." You pulled out a large pink heart pillow, with Olivia's name in yellow color and in cursive.
"GAAAAAASP.. OH MY GOSH!!" She squealed, her form bobbing up and down on the seat as you approached her with a smile. You extended the plushie towards her and she instantly pulled it into her arms with a tight squeeze. "I LOVE IT!! I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!" She screamed in high pitch, which made your ears bleed a bit.
Without any warning Olivia hauled you over and crushed you in her arms with a very tight hug. You wheezed in her arms when she squeezed you hard in the embrace, before she slowly relaxed her grip making you sigh in relief.
"But if you ask me.. I think your way better to hug." Olivia cheekily gave you a grin when she nuzzled her beak against your cheek, electing a giggle from you.
Olivia really did miss hugging you, her bed was filled with many pillows but they were nothing in comparison to you. The heart shaped pillow on her side laid idly, much like the ostrich. Before she grabbed it and squeezed it tight with a frown.
"Yeah.. you are way better to hug (Y/n).." She murmured, wanting nothing but to have you in her arms instead.

"Come on girls it's almost 10 PM!"
Archie shrieked when he barely dodged an incoming table thrown at him. 'Seriously, how are these girls able to throw those?! Oh wait.. I'm the father.' He sighed loudly when his daughters continued hopping around the messed up bedroom.
He thought this chaotic energy wouldn't die soon, until silence had suddenly engulfed the room. Archie let out a sigh in relief when the girls were silent.
Wait a minute, the girls were silent?
He snapped his gaze towards where the girls were, and they were hovering over a storybook they found on the floor.
It was the same storybook you got for the girls when you last visited.
Memories flashed by like a film as he recalled the time where you had somehow put the girls to sleep with little effort.
"Look what I have girls! It's a new storybook I found at the mall!" You announced, holding the book in the air like some sort of prize. The girls let out a 'ooo!' and immediately tucked themselves in the single large bed with a giddy grin. Archie watched in bewilderment when his daughters willingly put themselves to bed like that, not even he could tuck them in and here you were getting them to tuck themselves in without protest.
You took a chair to sit down next to the girls' bed, letting out a small cough to prepare your voice. "So this story is about a princess and a knight! How about you help me with this one Archie?" You asked help from the rhino with a smile, who snapped out of his trance to grab a spare chair and seated himself next to you.
"Oh oh oh! Can you do the voices?" Adi asked with a wide grin. "Of course! How about I be the knight and your daddy can be the princess?" You suggested successfully getting the approval of the girls and a horrified stare from Archie. "Now let's start!"
You started storytelling, mainly using your regular voice since it was just narration in the first two pages. Until the dialogues came in. You cleared your throat, and spoke in a deep voice—or attempted to.
"Be still my princess! For I shall free you of the cage the dragon has put you in!" You said with an exaggerated voice, the words coming out like a grumble rather than an actual deep voice. Then you handed the book to Archie, since it was his turn to voice act.
"Oh! Uhmm.. ahem ahem.. just let me clear my voice a bit heh." He sheepishly grinned and coughed over three times to stall the inevitable, but he did play his part albeit sounding like a squeaky toy rather than feminine
"Oh sir knight! Please rescue me-Eee!"
The girls burst out in laughter and you joined in clutching your belly at Archie's voice crack. He chuckled slightly at the reaction from you three, and he couldn't help but feel at ease in such a light atmosphere.
Eventually the story ended and the girls had fallen asleep, but they weren't the only one. "Thanks a lot (Y/n), I'm afraid to ask if I have to pay you-" He turned to his side only to notice that you were sleeping as well, your head against his arm with a calm expression on your face.
His eyes softened at the sight, and he had the overwhelming urge to just scoop you like in his arms and let you sleep there for as long as you'd like. But he knew you wouldn't be comfortable like this.
So with outmost gentleness, he slowly lifted you up from the chair. Archie walked over to his room to set you down on his bed, and tuck you in nice and cozy. He lingered for a moment, eyes filled with gratitude and affection when you let out a particular snore.
'Awww.. cute.' He chuckled quietly to himself. "Looks like I'm sleeping on the couch tonight." He muttered underneath his breath and left the room to let you continue on with your slumber. He doesn't mind it one bit, just as long as you were comfortable then that's all that mattered.
But now he has nobody to duo the voices with, nobody to tuck into his room and force him on the couch. He was going solo again, like many times. Yet somehow this particular night, seeing the storybook you bought, felt the loneliest night he had ever faced.
"Come in girls, let's go to bed. I'll read this out loud for you so you can sleep." And to his surprise the girls immediately behaved and tucked themselves in, it was a miracle they even listened to him.
He sat down at the edge of the bed, now reading the story and even doing the voices. But his daughters missed having you to voice the knight—and he did too.
Modo was in an UNO match with Will since they've decided to hang out for a while. They were supposed to train at the Cage but then Modo had somehow tempted Will by waving the deck of cards in his claw. So now they ended up here, on the benches and their own stacks of cards in hand, with Will having five cards, while Modo only has two remaining
Will gave Modo a smirk before he placed down a Wild card. "Change it to blue! Bet you don't have that do you?" The goat teased, confident that he'll win. But Modo only pushed his pink sunglasses down to give Will a smirk of his own, with his forked tongue hanging out his jaw. "But that's where you are wrong, tiny goat."
Modo—dramatically—slammed down a blue Reverse card, "UNO! One left, and it's still Modo's turn." He cackled out before slamming down his last card, which was a blue four. "I WIN!" He exclaimed loudly, standing up performing some sort of dance with just his arms. Will let out a small grunt at his defeat, but didn't take it that deeply.
"You're always winning in these types of games, how'd you get so good?" He asked with a small tilt of his head up at Modo, whom sat back down with a victorious and smug grin. "Modo is just great at cards, takes years of experience and sharp eyes to get as good as me." He punctured by pressing the side of his head to Will's face, who retracted with a grimace. "Oh.. nice.." He muttered out, thankful that Modo finally pulled back to let him breathe.
"Playing games are a 50/50, you don't know if you'll win or not. But with expertise Modo is winning 80 percent every time." The Komodo dragon boasted with the same wide grin, only getting an eye roll from Will. "Though.. Modo used to win 100 percent back then.."
Now that caught Will's attention.
"Really? How?" He asked in curiosity as Modo seated himself back on the bench. The lizard's eyes were fixated on the floor for a moment, his mind started rolling in memories filling his head with..
"(Y/n) was Modo's lucky charm." Modo said out loud catching the goat on his seat making him flinch slightly. "It all started when nobody wanted to go with Modo to a casino.."
He remembered it freshly, as if it just happened yesterday. When Modo had dragged you into a casino because you were the only who willingly volunteered to go with him.
You walked close beside him, occasionally your gaze would flicker to his unbothered skipping in the bar then towards the many animals eyeing the two of you in recognition and challenge.
They knew who you two were.
"Uhmm.. Modo? Are you sure this place is safe?" You asked in a whisper, the Komodo dragon stopped near the ATM to withdraw some cash. "Of course! Modo is sure! And if it isn't then don't worry, I'll protect you." He replied, sending you a cocky grin that slightly reassured you. "Ah.. then alright.." You muttered with a sheepish smile, still uncertain of the idea but you trusted the Komodo dragon.
Once he finished with the ATM he quickly exchanged the cash for chips and started searching for a table to play in. Of course you were still tailing behind him, unsure and nervous but willingly followed without retreating.
Eventually Modo found himself seated on a poker table, with you sitting next to him to a chair he rudely stole from another animal. You peeked at his hand, and almost dropped your jaw when you saw how bad it was. 'He's surely folding..' You thought to yourself as Modo stared at his deck of cards.
Your wide eyes snapped towards him in an instant, but he only met it with a cocky grin. "Just what're you doing! Your only making yourself broke!" You scolded him in a whisper, your face close to his as he merely scoff at your words. "Don't worry.. I brought you in here because your Modo's lucky charm, I'm not losing when your next to me."
That was.. oddly charming.
But it still doesn't help the situation!
You peeked at the opponents, their suspicious eyes fixated on the two of you. They don't know if you were bluffing or not, hence why they hesitated to make a call. Until one animal, a tiger, laughed loudly causing everyone at the table to glance at him. "Heh.. it's obvious that your making us think you have a bad hand when you obviously have a good one.. maybe Kings or even Aces.. it only makes sense for you to whisper out loud in 'worry' so that we'd all bet all in. Well.. I fold."
He set his cards down with a cocky smirk, confident that he had see through your 'trick' when there was no trick to begin with at all!
Everyone murmured in agreement, convinced at his explanation and folded as well. Your jaw was agape at the sheer absurdity of the situation, but Modo only cackled loudly at the results.
"HAHA! PAY UP!" Modo threw his weak hand on the table with a smug grin, pushing his pink heart shaped glasses up with his tongue to witness the absolute devastation on their faces. "MODO WINS! And it's all because of (Y/n)!" He loudly announced with a wide smile, but you only gave a weak smile back.
Modo collected his prize and tried handing you some but you kindly refused since your not into gambling that much. "Suit yourself then. Let's go check other tables to win more! Come my lucky charm!" Modo took your hand in his claw and started dragging you everywhere. You playfully rolled your eyes at him, already feeling pity at the inevitable defeat he'll get. Since it was unlikely of him to win every single game.
Well.. apparently you ARE lucky.
Every single game he participated in he'd always win, you didn't know how that was possible but Modo just calmly explained that you were lucky with a confident puffed up chest. He even won in billiard, and he admitted he had never played the game before so you started thinking you might be a bit lucky.
"HAHAHAHA! Look at our cash! Went from little hill to big mountain!" Modo loudly exclaimed next to you once he exchanged the chips he won into cash. "And it's all because of you, Modo's lucky charm." He cheekily sent you a grin, causing you to giggle at his words.
"Hey, can I borrow your lucky charm too? I need to win-"
"NO! MY LUCKY CHARM!" Modo attached himself to you and started hissing at the animal loudly, his tail wagging behind him in a possesive stroke as you apologized to the frightened animal.
Modo still misses having you by his side whenever he'd play. He's confident he'll win, but a part him has a tinsy bit of doubt when you aren't there. Which is why—as Modo—would randomly sigh loudly in the middle of a game and exclaim. "I miss my lucky charm.." To which confuses everyone, and he'd just brush them off without explanation and continue on like nothing had happened.
But he really did miss you, a lot. So much so that he invented a new dance he performs every single night, even after going through a harsh drill practice he'd always have the energy to dance.

Will was walking around in the dark street a by himself, his hooves tucked into the pockets of his hoodie. His mind was filled with the thoughts of you over and over again, especially after the conversation with Modo.
You seem such a friendly and loving soul, why would Jett ever kick you off just like that?
He knows what happened when the team gave the backstory of the argument, but he still couldn't fathom the fact that you were kicked off for such a minor reason.
His ears perked up at the sound of footsteps, he instantly pressed himself against the wall of an alley like a magnet as he listened in on a very familiar voice belonging to a particular horse.
"Look here, I can handle that creaky ol' grandma aight? Just lemme slip in some cash into the referee's hoove then we'll win without a doubt."
"That's just shallow, even for you. Wouldn't that be a bit unfair to everyone else?"
He knew the first voice was Mane, painfully obvious. But the second voice he couldn't figure out, it couldn't be P-Dogg or Boogie since he had already heard their voices, so this was someone entirely new.
Curiosity filled his body which forced him to sneakily follow the two into a local convenience store, which was open 24/7.
"You need anything here?" Mane asked the animal next to him, who shook their head and crossed their arms on the spot. "Nope, I'll stay right here." When Will got a closer look he finally recognized the animal.
Why in earth would you be with him?
Will watched Mane leave you to stand outside to grab some food or drinks, so he took the opportunity to quietly sneak up behind you.
Will was instantly met with a fist that collided against his face so hard it almost knocked him out conscious. He managed to stand albeit staggering uncontrollably, wiping some blood that started leaking out of his nose. "Urghh.. n-nice punch.." He weakly complimented with a sheepish grin.
You immediately softened your scowl upon seeing the goat. You grabbed your handkerchief and approached him to wipe the blood of his face, your other hand gently tilting his head up as you spoke. "I am so sorry! I thought you were going to mug me!" You apologized with a grimace as Will kindly shook his head.
"Nah, it's cool. My fault for sneaking up on you like that." He replied as you guided him down to take a seat at a vacant table that were outside of the convenience store. "Why did you approach me anyways?" You asked next to him, folding the handkerchief and slipping it into your pocket.
"Well.. I recognize you (Y/n), and I just couldn't resist to ask.. why are you with Mane? Considering you were a Thorn once.." Will started, a bit hesitant to ask the question but he just couldn't help it.
Immediately your face turned solemn at the mention of the Thorns, and your gaze shifted down to the floor. "Once." You quietly muttered out, memories crashing into you like meteor strikes before you forced your eyes back on Will
"As for Mane.. it all happened when-"
"No no no no no! No more flashbacks! I—and author—are tired of that. Just summarize it please." Will cut off momentarily with a small frown, effectively making you confused. "I- what? Author who?" You muttered out in confusion, before shaking your head slightly to compose yourself.
(a/n: thank you Will ಥ_ಥ)
"Okay then.. well I met Mane when I was in a cafe and he approached me to make fun of me since I am a Thorn, or was a Thorn. I explained to him I'm no longer in the Thorns and he thought I was kicked out for being terrible, until I explained to him about the argument with Jett. He laughed shortly after my explanation, before offering a deal. Which was to join the Magmas, just so he could piss off Jett and have my revenge.." You explained, fiddling slightly with your hands.
"But.. I don't know what to do after that whole revenge thing.. at this point I don't even want it anymore. I just.. want this tension to end but I still haven't forgiven Jett for tossing me aside like that. I.. still don't trust her.." You muttered out loud with a look of stress. You were in a dilemma, of forgiving or holding onto your grudge. But lately, those grudges are slowly but surely slipping through your fingers.
Which is why you feel nothing.
Will as about to reply when he spotted Mane about to open the convenience store's door, his eyes widened and immediately stood up and started running away. "Gotta blast! It was nice talking to youuuuuu!!" He loudly called out, his voice fading gradually when he ran farther and farther away.
You stare in bewilderment, completely caught off guard. Because you just laid out your feelings to Will, and then he bolted right out like lightning. It left you speechless, until a cold drink was pressed against your cheek causing you to yelp and jump up from the seat.
"Mane! What was that for?!" You complained with a small pout, only to have your eyes widen in surprise when Mane extended your favorite bag of chips and favorite drink towards you. "For me?" You stared in astonishment when Mane looked away, a bit embarrassed when he nodded.
You giggle and took the snacks from him, now walking with him on the dark streets to go back to your respective homes. "That's really sweet of you Mane." You teased with a grin, causing the blush on Mane's cheeks to intensify.
"Shut up and eat the damn chips."
You giggled as you started snacking with a blissful look of happiness on your face. Mane watched silently, his chest still fluttering when he handed you the food. He was gripping his own energy drink in his hand, taking small sips every few seconds.
Mane doesn't want to admit it, but somewhere along the plan of pissing Jett off by having you on his team, he started growing fond of you. Especially with how easily he can talk to you about anything, and how you'd always welcome him even whenever he'd mindlessly insult you. You'd just brush it off, and Mane was grateful that you did.
Because he doesn't want to hurt you, not when you've never made him feel like the angry horse on the Magmas—because with you, he's someone different. Someone vulnerable and genuine.

Throughout the entire game you had noticed how Jett seemed different, way different. She knows how to communicate, to rely on her team, to pass the ball. Which bewildered you to no end. Because where was this Jett when you were on the team? Why was she like this now?
When she saw you in a Magmas jersey, you saw the hearts in her golden eyes shatter. You thought you were mistaken, but every time you take a peek at her she's always got this sad look in her eyes.
Regret? Guilt? Sorrow? Longing?
And whenever you'd look at the rest of the Thorns—minus Will—they too share the same solemn gaze with Jett.
And it was eating you alive.
A cold drink pressed against your cheek making you jump from your seat with a yelp, you turned to the animal responsible with a glare only to find out it was Mane again. He extended a water bottle towards you, and you quietly accepted it with a frown.
"You good? Can't have you frowning on me in the finals." Mane asked, his expression firm and strict when in reality he was worried for you. "I'm fine.. just thinking.." You quietly muttered, earning a scoff from the horse. "You think in that head of yours? That's a surprise." You gave his side a sharp jab with your elbow for that, in which made him chuckle rather than mad.
At least you weren't sad looking anymore, Mane hated that look on your face.
"Come on, were on." Mane said and left the benches first to get on the court, with you following after with a hesitant step. "Yeah.."
'Just focus (Y/n), no time to think about the past.' You thought to yourself as you took in your position in front of Olivia, who looked upset at having to be in front of you.
'Oh (Y/n).. we're on the same court.. yet on different teams..' She solemnly thought, longing to reunite with you with a warm and tight hug rather than fighting you right now.
But it wasn't the time to think about old memories together, so both of your focus shifted in the ball the moment the whistle blew.
The game was getting more and more intense, and what happened next was a series of blurry movements. Will had caught the ball, and was getting chased by Mane. You knew from the look in his eyes that he was going to shove him out, fouls be damned.
"WILL!" Jett yelled loudly, worried. You were behind her chasing after the three, and all you could see was the slow-mo of Jett trying to get herself in front of Mane to prevent Will from getting injured. Jett wouldn't have cared for anybody in this situation, yet she did—for someone, a teammate.
So it lead you to think, had she really changed?
Before you knew it you sped up, shoved Jett aside and took the blow from Mane.
Every single eyes widened in complete shock, when you took the hit for the Thorns.
"Ooooh! A hard hit from Mane! And to a teammate nonetheless!"
"Why isn't there a foul call?!"
The commentators words were drowned out when Mane witnessed your body land on the scorching heat with a painful scrape of your skin, causing burns and broken bones each time you sprung off the ground. Then you finally landed with a sickening crunch. A loud groan of pain erupted from your throat as you tried to get up only to fall back down when your arm shook and gave up.
Everyone yelled and rushed to your aid, Mane was the first to be at your side. His facade of big bad horse almost crumbled at the sight of your beaten up form. "No no no.. it's okay it's okay.." His hooves hovered over your form, until Jett pushed him off with a loud growl. "GET YOUR HOOVES OFF OF THEM! HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH?!" She roared at the horse before kneeling beside you, gently taking you in her arms with a worried hiss.
"Breathe (Y/n).. medics are on the way.." The words sounded like a sob, every single Thorn gathered around you with the same worried expressions.
"I.. I don't understand.. why aren't you all mad? I'm on the Magmas.. OUR rival when I was a Thorn.." You mumbled out, and Jett only tightened—as gently as possible—her grip around you. Lenny craned his neck down, giving your cheek a small nuzzle with his nose. "Oh (Y/n).. we could never be mad at you." He replied, with Olivia adding. "Yeah.. and your still a Thorn, even with a different jersey on." She twittered out, setting a wing on top of you as a makeshift blanket.
"Yeah! Your still Modo's lucky charm!"
Everyone snapped their glares at Modo, who defiantly glared back.
But a defeated sigh left his lips. "Fine.. OUR lucky charm.." He grumbled out which satisfied the team, but he quickly muttered out. "But still Modo's specifically.." And sneakily pretended he didn't say anything.
The medics came in and took you away back into the Magmas locker room where they'll treat you, Mane of course followed after constantly yelling at the medics in anger whenever you'd wince.
You had lost the championship, but it was alright, because you got all the closure you needed. And that was more important than any Claw.
Currently you were strolling around in the mall, of course Mane—in his hoodie era since he was bald now—was beside you constantly worried that you might trip or something. "Mane, I'm not made of glass. I can handle a walk on my own." You replied with a small huff, only to be silenced when Mane held up all your shopping bags dangling in his arms with a deadpan expression. "Bet you can't carry all of this with that bandaged covered body of yours eh?" He smugly grinned at you, successfully winning the argument which led you to grumble.
Then you spotted a particular group nearby, and immediately recognized them. "Hey! Hey hey!" You waved a hand around hoping to get the Thorns' reaction, and you did. In a matter of seconds heads snapped at the direction of your voice, everyone didn't hesitate to run over to check up on you.
Completely ignoring Mane.
He was thankful about it though, just means less interactions with the Thorns.
Jett was the first to speak though, stammering out words she had rehearsed a million times in her home. "(Y/n).. I needed you to know that I am so-" You cut her off by hugging her, your head buried in her torso as she froze momentarily caught off guard.
But when she managed to recover she instantly returned the hug, trying her best to hold back from squeezing you in fear of injuring you further. "It's fine Jett.. I'm just glad everything is behind us.. and we can just focus on the now.." You spoke softly, pulling away from the hug to set a a hand in her shoulder.
Jett smiled warmly at you, and couldn't resist pulling you in for another hug. You giggled as the other Thorns joined in as well, completely covering you in their embrace.
When they pulled away Modo lingered near with that same goofy grin you'd remember him by. "Modo wants something more than a hug.." He started with a mischievous grin. Then he pointed at his cheek. "Modo wants a kiss! Right here!"
The Thorns just laughed off the request, until they went dead silent when you actually kissed his cheek. He started fangirling on the spot, blushing with a giddy smile like some school girl with a high school crush.
"Can.. can I get a kiss too?" Olivia raised her wing up with a sheepish grin, only to gasp when you went over and gave her cheek a kiss. Now it was her turn to giggle. "Oh! Me next!" Lenny said and excitedly bent his neck down for you to kiss his cheek. "I guess I'll be next too." Archie gruffly chuckled, crouching down a bit when you planted a kiss on his cheek.
Jett awkwardly stepped forward, she didn't say anything but it was obvious she wanted a kiss as well. You giggled and stood at your tippy toes and gave her cheek a kiss, which made her purr loudly causing some of the team to snicker at her reaction. But a glare from her got them to shut up immediately.
Then gazes turned to Will, who was quiet throughout the whole scene. Were they expecting him to ask for a kiss too?
"Uhmm.. a kiss wouldn't be bad?" Will chuckled out with a shy grin, then he leaned his cheek towardd your direction. "Lay it on me mama!" You chuckled softly and gave his cheek a kiss.
"Alright, that's the last of yous." You mused, only to perk up when you heard a loud cough from behind you. You turned around to spot Mane seething with jealousy. "So they get to have one but your assistant can't?" He huffed out, pretending to be pouty only to go quiet when you quickly shut him up by kissing his cheek without him noticing.
"How's that?" You teased with a smirk, Mane shook his head to regain his composure as he held the cheek you had just kissed. "..not bad.. but I think I deserve a kiss on the lips for carrying all your heavy cargo.." He replied with a smirk crawling up his lips.
Immediately the Thorns burst out in anger.
"(Y/N) AIN'T GOING TO TOUCH YO DIRTY LIPS!"
They spat out protest on top of protest until Mane felt like his ears were bleeding.
Just then Modo sneaked up behind you with a playful smirk and picked you up bridal style causing everyone to focus on him with wide eyes in bafflement. "Gotta go! I have to win a few games now that Modo got his lucky charm back!" Without warning he sprinted off with you in his arms.
Now both the Thorns and Mane chasing after the two of you with threats and warnings to put you down.
Everyone in the mall just stared in complete puzzlement at the situation, but nobody was brave enough to step up and stop them from causing a commotion.
Because there was nothing that could stop them from getting to you, no matter what.
