Will Take Charge
Here's a question...
Where did Will Take Charge get what seems to be his recessive white gene (or whatever it's called) that he's now splashing over his babies. Since Take Charge Lady is not very flashy and neither was Unbridled Song other then being a gray.

The Wrong Path

Experience. Did it always have to come back to that dreadful word? Ping bitterly internalized the inquiry. Perhaps she ought not to have switched places with her ailing father. Donning the airs of a man was becoming tiring, among other things.
A heady huff is expelled from Ping’s lungs as Mushu continued to prattle on his endless series of complaints in the shell of Ping’s ear. Instructing the guardian to ‘shut up’ would probably cause more trouble than it’s worth. The Major might assume the rebuke was aimed directly for him. So instead of an eager chastizement, another, more exasperated huff leaves the younger soldier’s form. Concentration settles heavily upon Ping’s furrowed brows as she wills herself to keep treading behind her intrepid leader.
Forlorn darkened orbs are cast back over the soldier’s shoulder. They’d been walking most of the day, and it felt as though they were getting nowhere. Not even the canvas peak of a tent, nor hint of an encampment had been stumbled upon. She knows naught what is worse-- the pain spiderwebbing up her quads or the agony of listening to both unhelpful speakers (Mushu and Tallmadge) in unharmonic chorus.
Mushu croons in her ear a remark about the Intelligence officer not being able to find his own rear-end if it bit him, and she snorted out in laughter. Unfortunately, the laughter arose when he instructed Ping not to worry.
None of her father’s war stories and heroic escapades ever prepared her for this. When she raced into the war-efforts, she expected manly things like swinging swords--- not traipsing all over the country. Just where were they headed? The Isle of England herself?!
Immediately, Ping’s stance turns rigid when he mentions the look she is giving off. “Like what?” She was not aware that she was giving off a look of any kind. Her jaw shifts, resting misaligned and unhinged. “I---- I don’t think you want to do that, uhhh--- sir. Put me in charge on matters of this import.” She stammers. Outside if her Father’s farm, Mulan hasn’t traveled very far. Everything required for the sustainment of life tended to be found near-by. And this---- this was uncharted territory. Ping’s traveled far less. There was no way in creation she’d allow Mushu to gift the instructions given how much trouble he’s led her into already. It would be a certifiable disaster. “I just ---- uhm--- -well, you know --- “ she began to bumble, ambling clutzily over her words. “Was thinking about having a break? We haven’t exactly had anything to---” Mushu eagerly volunteered the word “eat” and Ping repeated it. “Yes. We haven’t exactly had anything to eat.” She puffs out her chest with a modicum of pride.
“Where are we headed anyways?” Ping questions with unfleeting courage.
