There is no way that any knitting tutorial for a single technique has to be over 10 minutes long. Just introduce the technique, clearly show the stitch a couple of times, and I’ll replay whatever I need. There is no world in which I want to scrub through a 15 minute video to find the part where they teach you how to knit continental, which should take three minutes generously, four if you want to advertise your book. And actually I don’t think that’s my gen z attention span, I think that’s the nature of overproduction, drawing out a video to get more ads, and making knitting harder than it should be

Am I getting old or does thrifting not feel so cool anymore. I used to love wearing clothing that was obviously not made for me- someone’s dad’s old bowling shirt, old community sports teams jerseys, hats for events I never went to, military boots etc.. But now when I wear something for a specific activity or profession that I don’t have because I found it for 7$ at a thrift store I feel like such a poser!

Maybe it’s because thrifting has become equivalent to shopping, and the more eccentric your thrift find the more clout you have, as opposed to the thrift store as a place you can find good clothes for cheap. When someone wears specialty items that aren’t meant for them it’s really obvious that they’re VINTAGE and THRIFTED.

Also I’ve noticed that as far as I can remember, Milchick has never even once mentioned Kier. Even all throughout last season while Cobelvig was being some kind of religious zealot, and Milchick was surly dedicated to the company, I don’t even think I remember him even once saying Kiers name.

The types of knitting tutorials on YouTube are: 105 year old woman making a 2 minute long video explaining knitting stitch with the worst camera and audio quality you’ve ever heard of, and 20 minute long overproduced video with 40something big glasses woman explaining stitch in 6 different ways with big needles and slow motion and #happycore music playing in the background
