wow I have a lot to say. But at the same time I have no idea what to say. These last two years have honestly been life-changing because of Black Clover as a whole, but I could never have lived my life this vividly without writing this.

two whole years. 260K words made from nothing but passion. 18 chapters with two left, and only now as 2026 has started has it finally sank in just how close this story is to being finished.

it’s almost done.

honestly, I’m gutted. This story wasn’t just a story to me— it was an experience, a challenge, and such a rewarding pleasure. So many people have read my story, have left comments that made me feel like I could transcend the universe and also made me want to cry with joy. And I have, actually. Many times. I think to some of you, maybe, just maybe, this story was or is just as impactful to you as it is to me and that thought itself makes me feel fulfilled.

it’s my dream to reach people with my writing. To not fail my readers, my story, and myself by giving up on it and anything after chapter 2 wouldn’t have been possible without Black Clover. It’s been such a dream writing for you guys. It’s been a honor getting to know these characters, Marx, Julius, Yami and many other amazing characters. even the original ones— Lucien, Heinz, Marcel, Constance, Dolus— the whole Magic Knights disappearances case wouldn’t have been the same without those unique characters and getting to see Lucien especially evolve into something special was such a pleasure.

Julius and Marx have been my obsession and hyper fixation since I started the show and I realized how deeply I feel in love with them. I know I’m still young and have a lot of years left to live, but I don’t think I’ll ever forget the kind of bond I have with those two as writer and character, and especially as person to person.

that being said, I know I’m late and I don’t have any art, but I wanted to share with you all some of the reasons why I love my story with this quick edit, and how beloved it is to the people who took the time to appreciate it. I love you all, I adore my readers, and I hope if you’re new or you don’t know what this is, that you’ll give my little passion project a chance and see into the vivid world I spent two years cultivating, all in the world and universe of the one thing that brought us all together.

William normally speaks with such softness, that sometimes it’s hard to really tell any changes in his voice—but there is a different kind of gentleness he has in his tone when he talks to you or about you. There’s a sort of excitement in his voice, a brighter, happier tone when he talks to you that can be subtle at first, but grows the longer he’s with you because you bring him so much joy it’s hard to bottle up. There’s a sweetness hidden there too, especially when he says your name, or calls you “dearest”, “love”, “sweetheart” in such a way that feels like he shot an arrow full of pure love into your heart. You heard a lady say whole she eyed you, and that was it, the confidence that you had gathered to come here and surprise Will, crumbled down and a big lump built up in your throat,

Tears escaped your eyes as you ran through the castle hallways with your gown gathered in your hands, you had put so much effort into looking your best and surprising your lover at his birthday party, you had specially asked Mimosa to tie your hair and asked Captain Charlotte to pick out a dress with you, but now it didn't matter because no matter how good you try to look, you will always be lower than them, never belong with them.

How can a noble love a peasant, and that too, a peasant like her? Her words kept on repeating in your head because after all, they were true, you were nothing more than a commoner from the Common Realm whereas he was a Noble and the Captain of The Golden Dawn at that... How can he love you?

You finally came to a stop after running a considerable distance, stopping in the hidden royal garden.

You inhaled deeply and relaxed as the fresh air soothed you, nature always seemed to do the trick for you and make you calm.

The garden looked particularly beautiful today, the moonlight was glistening on the surface of the leaves, twinkling fireflies dancing around the trees, the starry sky looked beautiful along with the full moon that glowed in between. The flowers gave off beautiful fragrances which mingled together most beautifully, the cool air from the wind only making it better.

You sighed as you walked towards the fountain that was in the center of the garden, the water sparkling as it moved around, it was a rather big fountain and had enough space to house several small koi fishes.

"You left early..."

You flinched at the sudden voice, before turning around to come face to face with William Vangeance.

"Will..." You said, looking down and not meeting your eyes with him.

You heard soft footsteps coming towards you, making you anxious.

He took a step forward and reached out, holding your cold and soft hands in his warm and calloused ones.

"You came to the ball... For me?" He asked you, his smile turning slightly cocky to hide his blush.

"I mean... It is your birthday..." You said shyly, looking everywhere but him, and trying to hide the heat rushing to your cheeks.

"I am honored.. And may I say that you look absolutely gorgeous in this gown." He complimented,

"Well, you are the only one who thinks that... Thanks..." You mumbled, looking down.

"Hey..." He said, gently removing his hand from your hand and placing it under your chin to lift your head up,

"They don't know what they're talking about..." He cooed

"No, they do. They know that I am just a peasant..." You said, tears forming in your eyes again,

"No, you are special and they don't know a thing about you..." He said, looking into your eyes.

"They know I am not a noble, what is left for them to know? And they are not wrong... I am nothing compared to you and I definitely am not someone who is at your level or worthy enough for you... At this point, I don't even know why you like me... " You say, gently removing your hand from his and tears dropping from your eyes as the words kept repeating themselves.

You sighed as you walked away from him, hugging your figure, and letting the tears fall.

"You wanna know why?" He said, making his way towards you,

"Maybe because, your smile, it sends shivers up my spine..." He said and took his mask off, making you cheerful becausevit meant that he was comfortable around you.

"Or because of your eyes, they feel like they are looking inside my soul and holding me captive..." He said taking steps forward...

"Or maybe your soul, it is so pure that it inspires me..." He said, taking yet another step and closing in.

Your breath hitched as you felt him beside you, looking at you with an intense gaze.

"Or maybe it is because our touch, it makes me feel like I am on fire..." He said as held your hand, and gently traced small circles on it,

You felt butterflies in your stomach and a blush creeped onto your face.

He turned you around and towards him, smiling at you and placing his hands on your waist,

Your heartbeat quickened as he leaned down, placing a soft kiss on your mouth, making you wrap your arms around him instinctively,

"Or maybe it's your kisses... I swear they keep getting sweeter..." He mumbled against your lips,

"You are so cheesy, William Vangeance," you muttered with a laugh.

"Well this is not even half of the cheesiness that you inspire in me..."

"Of course, what was I even thinking..."

"And for the record, I don't like you." He said, making your heart drop, and confusing you.

"What?" You asked,

"I am madly in love with you," he said with a smile,

The moment he said that, it felt like you were not filled with love and adoration but that you were love and adoration itself.

"And..." He said, pulling away from you and smiling as he reached into his coat pocket.

You looked confused, but gasped as he went down on one knee,

"Will..." You asked, your eyes wide with shock.

"Y/n... You are the most special person in my life and you hold the top place in my heart...

"Yes, the people say that you and I are no match but who cares about them they don't know what they're talking about, but I do...

"The bond that we share, it gets stronger with every passing second and I don't want to wait any longer... I want to tell everyone in this kingdom and the others, that you're mine..." He said,

Your heart skipped a beat and your eyes filled with tears but this time with joy.

"Now, I wanted to ask you at the ball but I think this is better, it's our place... Will you marry me?" He asked, holding up a beautiful ring that had thin flowers etched on it with a diamond, in a velvet box.

"Yes..." You whispered, your eyes never leaving his,

He grinned and stood up, smiling as he slipped the ring on your finger.

You couldn't care less about the ring as right now, he was the only thing that mattered.

"I love you William..." You whispered as he wrapped you in a hug before pressing his lips to yours,

Your hands wrapped around him instantly as you bith melted away into the starry night, in the middle of your secret place...

You giggled as William gave you yet another peck on the cheek. You were placed under a bloomed cherry tree, your body was nestled between his legs and his arms were securely wrapped around your waist. Knowing that you were ticklish, the captain of the golden dawn was placing soft kisses on to your neck and cheek. The giggles that emitted from your body was music to his ears.

He chuckled when you finally turned to face him, tears stinging the corner of your eyes you wrap your arms around his neck, still giggling in the process. 

“William stop,” you breathed out feeling light headed. “I’m going to cry if you continue.”

“We wouldn’t want that now, would we.” he hummed.

William placed a hand on your cheek, his thumb gingerly going in circles around your flushed cheek. Your heart pounded loudly in your chest as your eyes gazed upon William’s beautiful face. Your eyes traveled to his scar, you lean in to place a tender kiss on his forehead. Parting away, your eyes lingered on his lips. William had kissed you pretty much everywhere except for your lips. Oh how you craved the captain’s lips on your own. 

Noticing this, William’s thumb traveled down to your lips. 

“Tell me what you want, love.” he said, smirking. 

Your mouth went dry at William’s knowing words. You let out a shaky breath. Has the moment finally came?

“I want, “ you swallowed. “I want you to kiss me.”

The captain’s thumb continued to play with your bottom lip. 

“Where?”

Your tongue darted out with an attempt to wet your lips, licking the tip of his thumb in the process. When William’s breath hitched, you smiled. You saw the tint of pink coloring his cheeks.

Not wanting to wait for an answer anymore, William’s hand slid to the back of your head. He leaned in and softly pressed his lips against yours. You felt butterflies in your stomach. It was everything you dreamed it would be. Soft, tender, loving. Your lips moved alongside his, you parted your lips inviting the captain in. 

The mood of the kiss shifting in to a greedy one, William accepted the offer as he snuck his tongue into your mouth. The both of your tongues danced with each other, when you felt his warm flesh against yours you let out a soft moan.

If you didn’t have to breathe, you would kiss him forever. But you couldn’t help but whine when William parted away. He chuckled when he saw you pouting. William pulled you in closer to his chest. 

“Don’t worry,” he whispered. “This is just the first of many kisses.”
