Today we had a fun filled day at Willowgrove Outdoor Education Centre. We learned about many different Christmas traditions from around the world that were started long ago. In the barn, students had the opportunity to see and pet some of the animals. They also reenacted the birth of Jesus in a stable surrounded by the animals.

Trip to Willowgrove

Please note that tomorrow’s trip to Willowgrove Outdoor Education is still happening as scheduled! (It is unlikely, but the excursion will only be cancelled if there are unforseen circumstances overnight and school busses are cancelled tomorrow). Please ensure that students (and parent volunteers) arrive to school on time, as we will not be able to wait for latecomers.

As well, given the abudance of snow this weekend, students should come prepared for snowshoeing! Again, unless there are unforseen circumstances that would make snowshoeing unsafe, we will be able to proceed as scheduled. This means that in addition to winter coats, boots and other winter accessories (e.g., water resistant gloves, hats, scarves, etc.), students should also bring snow pants as well. Students are also highly encouraged to bring an additional pair of pants and socks in case a change of clothes is necessary. 

As per board protocol, students should come dressed in proper uniform.
