Dina slowly extends an arm, feeling for signs of life and finding nothing but sheets kissed by the imprint of a body long gone. She shoots up in bed and curses herself for falling asleep when she swore she would stay awake, swore she would monitor Ellie as close as possible.
Tommy dragged a foul, rotting corpse into their home that evening and left it there — stinking, seeping into the floorboards — for Dina to clean up. Yet as hard as she tried, there was no communicating with Ellie. Her wife’s stubborn heart that she loved so dearly was set on something detestable. When they went to bed, she feigned sleep just long enough to hear Ellie’s breaths even out, then watched her without blinking, standing at attention at so much as a twitch.

i wonder what dina did with the two portraits of herself and jj she took from the farmhouse.
i wonder if she shoved them in a closet and covered them with clothes and bags but didn’t have the heart to destroy them.
i wonder if she put them in careful frames before she hid them so that they wouldn’t accidentally get torn or fade.
i wonder if, on every twisted anniversary, she looked at them again, or if the mere thought of opening that closet made her sick.
THIS IS WILLWARD WE LOVE WILLWARD (He likes to wear lots of different kinds of clothes, and he's just an overall silly guy, very gender, stealing his gender)

Mondaytes || Willward
Edward was no stranger to Coney Island. Between William working at the aquarium and their Mondaytes, it was safe to say that he spent much of his time there. Not as much as William, but he was up there. Today happened to be one of their Mondaytes and these have been tradition for Edward and William since forever. Every Monday night a big screen would be set up so everyone could lay out on picnic blankets and watch a movie. Tonight, they decided to play American Hustle, a movie which Edward has never seen. He preferred seeing movies he's watched, because then he could quote them and also focus more of his attention on William without worry about missing a scene. And even though these nights were referred as Mondaytes, they weren't actual dates. Well, actually, they were like actual dates, except there was no kissing or anything like that seeing as they were dates between two platonic best friends. Edward hoped that'd change eventually seeing as he planned to tell William how he felt...eventually, but for now he cherished these moments and basically every moment he has had with him Since William was working today Edward already knew to meet him outside of the aquarium. There he sat on one of the benches outside the entrance and Edward took notice that he already changed out of his uniform. Sitting down in the space next to him Edward slung his arm over his shoulders and smiled brightly. "Are you ready for tonight's Mondayte?! They're playing American Hustle right?," he asked before slipping off his back pack that contained his camera, money, bug spray, basically anything that was necessary for a Coney night adventure. "I brought some nutter butters, obviously, and I'm not sure who made cupcakes in my house, but I took some of those too," he shrugged handing William a nutter butter. "How was work by the way? I had today off so I was pretty lonely."
