A theory on how Emperor Belos will be defeated

In the beginning of the episode, Them's the Breaks, Kid, we saw Luz using glyph combos to learn 4 new spells:

wind,

water fountain,

petrification,

and summoning a monster.

Since The Owl House is about to end this year, I think there's a possibility that we will see these 4 new spells again in the series finale, Watching and Dreaming.

We all know in the end of season 1 that the punishment of covenless witches is petrification and its effects cannot be reversed. And Belos almost did that to Luz in King's Tide.

So here's my theory.

What if everyone in the Boiling Isles band together to use these glyph combos and ultimately activate the petrification spell on Belos as a way to defeat him once and for all? Think about it. The thing that he did to those covenless witches would be the very same thing that would lead to his ultimate demise. For him to get a taste of his own medicine would be a satisfactory way to end his reign of terror, deception, and manipulation.

Since this is a theory, I might be completely wrong. I would be genuinely surprised if that actually happens in the series finale.

I’d like to know your thoughts on this particular theory. If you have other theories on how Belos will be defeated, feel free to share them in the comments. I’d be more than happy to read them.

Wind Chime Spell For Happiness

You can use the power of the wind in your magic even when you are not around. In this spell, the chimes enact the magic of happiness whenever wind blows.

Materials:

- Wind chimes in cheerful tones

- Neroli essential oil

Go outside with your chimes and anoint with neroli oil. Take a deep breath in and focus on what happiness feels like for you. Anoint each chime and the clapper and sail in the middle.

Hold the chimes in the air and say:

"Mighty element of air, be with me!

Enchant these chimes with the energy of pure happiness!

Every time the wind blows, may this magic be renewed and good cheer spread."

Hold the chimes in the air until the wind makes them chime. Give thanks to the wind and hang them somewhere that will catch wind often.

It's been quite gloomy weather wise in many places and I remembered this spell from a book I was given a while back. Make the spell your own. Use an essential oil that has a scent that makes you happy. Change the incantation if you feel it doesn't suit your needs. I would also anoint with the oil at least once a week to refresh it and repeat the incantation each time, but that is what my personal preference on the spell would be so it is effective. Hope this helps!

Perhaps I will include spells from other sources along with continuing to share my own creations ;) the more spells, the better right? And man, I finished this fantastic book two nights ago with some that are worth sharing. I cannot wait to post my review! Of course, any spells from other sources will ALWAYS get credit. Not cool y'all to either rip off people's spells or pretend that they are yours if it's not.

Box of Winds (Item idea)

Here's one for you DM's that want the players to have some wind power.

Appearance: A small cold metal box, with a wind symbol engraved on the top.

Description: This box, made by wizards, was made to unleash high velocity winds once opened. It is highly recommended that you point the box away from yourself when you open (unless you want to mess up your hair)

Attributes: Once opened it activates the spell "gust of wind" [pointed in the direction of where the box’s opening]. (Can be used 5 times before running out of the "gust of wind" spell)

Wind Enchantment for Divination

A spell to enchant an object or piece of jewelry to help give the caster energy for divination and aid.

You Will Need:

💨 Piece of jewelry or an object 💨 Windy Day 💨 Outdoor space where you can work

Steps:

💨 Prepare yourself for the spell however you see fit

💨 With your object in hand go outside to the space you are going to be working in, if you can face into the wind

💨 Grasp your object to your chest and feel the wind in your hair and blow against you. Feel its energy merging with yours. Visualize this however you desire, this spell is heavily visualization.

💨 Hold out your object into the the wind. Visualize both your energy and that of the winds, swirling about the object, like a cyclone. Visualize this whirlwind being absorbed into the object

💨 At this point I often imagine almost like an eye appearing during this process, for this spell to help give you energy for divination work.

💨 Once you feel satisfied with the amount of energy placed into your object, thank the wind for its help however you feel is fit.

💨 Wear/hold the object whenever you are using divination, especially if its going to be a large session. 

💨 Cleanse object when needed and may occasionally need to be charged with the wind, though not too often.

Curse - Using a Companion Animal

Alright, I am not sure how some will feel about this but I believe we can have special connections with animals. Familiars, some may say, spirit animal for others. The following curse uses a companion of your choosing to help enact the curse to the intended target.

Ingredients - Candle/Fire (you will need/want ashes) - A piece of paper that has the intended targets name on it - Cayenne pepper - Other spices of choice  - Feathers (or whatever represents your companion of choice.) - Tears (if you can)

Steps - Lay all your items in front of you.  - Make sure your candle is lit, and you are focusing your intent. - Burn the paper and photo.  - Add spices to the ashes  - Hold the feathers and visualize your companion coming to you. - Snuff out the candle.  - Use the feather(s) to blow the smoke over the ashes while chanting: “Winged Spirit of my control, carry this curse to (intended target).  They shall know the pain I have felt, by feeling it too. Their pain is payment for mine, my tear for their tear. This curse from me to them, never to return.” - Add your tear to the ashes.  - Finish fanning the smoke over the ashes until the smoke has subsided.  - Dispose of ashes by letting the wind carry them. - Keep the feathers in a save place until you wish to relieve your companion of their duties.

You can alter this curse to your liking. My companion was a hawk which is why I chose feathers. You can choose other aspects that represent your animal. Please use this for inspiration, alter it as you will, and use as you will.
