Something I hate about Windblade 2014 is what they did to Windblade, now don't get me wrong I love the comic and the art but... when you look at Windblade before her solo run and during it there is a difference.
I mean look at her original design in IDW (done by Alex Milne) girl is far taller than Chromia and Nautica, not to mention that she looks far more 'buff'
Now compare that deign to her design in Windblade (2014)
There is a clear difference one such difference that is the most obvious is she's been slimed down, another difference is her height. Look at her in this panel, she's standing beside Chromia and Windblade;
Out of the three she is the tallest and I think the 'buffest' now look at her standing beside Chromia in Windblade 2014 (panel to the top right) she looks as said more slim and far shorter.
Yes design changes happen all the time in comics due to a change in artist it just feel like they were trying to make her look more 'famine' which isn't a bad thing, its what's most commonly done in TF so you can tell the 'gender' of a Cybertronian but at the same time it does suck. Windblades OG design is a fresh take on how female Cybertronians get designed more often than not, she was very tall and she was 'buff' something that as said isn't all that common in TF it feels.
Once more this isn't a critique on the artist, comic, or character, it's just something I noticed and up until now never thought anything of until I reached the comic. This is me wishing and yearning for chunky robots, TFP Optimus in season three I love and hate seeing buff bots *cough cough IDW Blurr* losing their kibble as time goes on.
