Beach Day!

Today Heather and I went to the Pacific Ocean. While not technically the most western point of our trip, we wanted some time on the beach. Mandy suggested we visit Salt Creek Beach to explore their tide pools.

Something I learned: it can be quite cold at the beach. The wind today was strong and steady and made sitting on the beach without a sweatshirt difficult to do. It was not until we laid down on the warm sand and laid under the sun that we felt comfortable enough to wear beach clothes. Despite the breeze, it was a gorgeous day and the 55 degree waters did not discourage the dozens of surfers we saw.
