76 some big milestones!
At virtually the same time we finished up the window jamb construction and installation and putting in the Roxul for the exterior walls. These are major accomplishments - one primarily Bob's and one primarily mine. I didn't realize until looking back in this blog that we had been at these projects for six weeks - yikes. It's hard to feel good in a constructive way about finishing up the Roxul. It won't be visible (thank goodness!!) and it will provide an undetectable extra layer of insulating comfort. So I am mostly just elated that the installation is done. In contrast we will be able to enjoy the beautiful window jams every day. They qualify as fine furniture as much as just decorative trim in my mind. We both reacted to finishing up with a desire to get everything clean and organized again. Bob dismantled the big work table he had built in the office which we used for biscuiting, staining and sealing the jamb lumber. I swept everywhere with the push broom, then the smaller broom and then I vacuumed. I was most eager to get rid of as much sawdust and Roxul dust as possible. Maybe now we won't sniffle and sneeze so much when we are working inside.
