「マイ・オーストラリア・ワイン・リスト」

2025年４月9日、アンダーズ東京にて、オーストラリア フード＆ワイン・コラボレーション・グループ（デーリー・オーストラリア、ホーティカルチャー・イノベーション・オーストラリア、ミート＆ライブストック・オーストラリア、シーフード・インダストリー・オーストラリア、ワイン・オーストラリア）が協力し、オーストラリア産食材およびワインのセミナーを開催しました。さすが食材が豊かなオーストラリアだけあって、ワイン、シーフード、農産物、肉、チーズという業界向け5種のセミナー。

もちろん、私はワインセミナー「マイ・オーストラリア・ワイン・リスト」に参加。講師は矢田部 匡且氏（東京エディション虎ノ門ヘッドソムリエ）で、51階からの素晴らしい眺望を望む会場でした。

冒頭はワイン・オーストラリアのRosemary MacDonald氏（日本担当マネージャー）がオーストラリアワインの概要をレクチャー。オーストラリアは広大な国で、ヨーロッパがすっぽり入ってまだ余る大きさ。主なワイン生産地は南東部と西部およびタスマニアで、地形、土壌、気候が多様な65の産地が存在するそうです。

いろいろな産地からのワイン8種の試飲が、矢田部氏のナビゲートでスタート。

1)タスマニア州のスパークリングワイン。

ピノ・ノワール61.9%、シャルドネ29.2%、ムニエ8.9%

白桃、洋ナシ、アーモンドやヘーゼルナッツを感じる爽やかなスパークリング。

２）バロッサヴァレー（南オーストラリア州）の白ワイン

　セミヨン100% 　ヴィンテージ2016とは思えないくらい、若々しく、レモンや金木犀の香り、味わいは青リンゴやライム、余韻に若干の苦み。

３）グレート・サザン（西オーストラリア州）の白ワイン

　フィアーノ100%   グレープフルーツやカモミールの香り、シトラス系果実や白桃の味わい、余韻にグレープフルーツの皮のような若干の苦み

４）ニューイングランド（ニューサウスウェールズ州）の白ワイン

ゲヴュルツトラミネール100%　樽による発酵と熟成。

グレープフルーツ、ライチ、ジンジャーブレッド、クミンが溢れるアロマティックな香り、味わいはグレープフルーツ、カモミールティー、アーモンド。余韻に若干の苦み。

５）マーガレット・リヴァー（西オーストラリア州）の白ワイン

シャルドネ100%  樽による発酵と熟成。洋ナシの香り、マーマレード、アプリコットを感じる深い果実味と新鮮な酸味。

６）キング・ヴァレー（ビクトリア州）の赤ワイン

ネッビオーロ100%  14カ月の樽熟成。オレンジピールやドライトマトの香り、ストロベリー、ラズベリージャム、ドライハーブ、紅茶のようなコクのある味わい。

７）マクラーレン・ヴェール（南オーストラリア州）の赤ワイン

グルナッシュ100%  樽熟成

イチジク、ザクロ、バニラの香り、ダークチェリー、プラム、スパイスの深い味わい

８）マクラーレン・ヴェール（南オーストラリア州）の赤ワイン

シラーズ100%  18カ月の樽熟成。

黒オリーブ、ブラックチェリー、黒糖の香り、チェリー、プラム、バルサミコの豊かな味わい。
