They use grapes sourced from the Russian River Valley, CA and aged it in oaken barrels for 2 years then another 2 in bottles. Notes of blackberry, licorice and a bit of chocolate. Very smooth for a red with a lower tannin feel. This one is on the cheaper end and is a good start for anyone venturing into red wines. Pours a dark ruby with strong fruity flavors like plum and cherries with subtle hints of oak. Smooth but not particularly robust on flavors with a kinda watered down taste mixed in. Hints of cherries and a coffee taste can be detected.
