I first discovered this song because I adore Wynter Gordon. But seeing how she is only the featured artist here, I will restrain myself from geeking out too much.

Brand-new producer Pearl under White Room Records is an enigma. We know nothing about him other than what he’s offered the world, his debut album Open. In this track, Never Comin’ Back, the beats are spare, built around Wynter’s soulful vocals. The lyrics are harsh, realistic, mature; the whole tune is brooding, melancholy, haunting.

Wynter Gordon (born Diana Gordon; August 25, 1985 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York) is an American pop/dance singer-songwriter. She began as a writer for other artists, later signing with Atlantic Records where she began working on an album while continuing to write songs for other acts and providing vocals on songs. Her debut With the Music I Die was released in 2011.
