don't even think i can go back and look at posts from the last few days on tumblr.
people talking shit about my city, but people were stuck in their cars for over 24 hours because of ice that melted and refroze in atlanta traffic (which is insane on a regular basis)...
people were in a rush to get their kids from school, get home, and people are trivializing the fact that our highway services weren't prepared because they didn't really expect the weather to be so bad in the metro area.
cars aren't made for snow/ice down here, people aren't experienced in driving under icy conditions, and certainly don't normally keep chains or anything to help once they are in bad road conditions.
so stop talking about how 2 inches of snow is nothing, because when you don't have normally frigid weather conditions it takes everyone by surprise. people were seriously injured in accidents and it took a physical and emotional toll on a lot of people being trapped in their cars and standstill traffic, that could be dangerous even inching along on fucking ice.
