Today was one of those days where I needed to keep my mind busy. I decided why not focus on some jumps with Melody here in South Hoof. We did the course slightly different than usual since I paid more attention to the jumps, Melody did not mind one bit. Sure enough the fresh air and the ride made me feel better. Moving to South Hoof was an amazing decision, pretty proud of myself for that, hehe.
I found the time to stop some school work and travel to Silverglade Equestrian Centre where Guillermo Gadea was situated with all his fancy jumps. I got Mel from the paddock and after getting her ready for the trailer we immediately took off. I was excited to try out a new jumping saddle I bought…now yes I did just bought another saddle but I mean this one was extremely pretty and I could not say no.. it was for a great deal, I swear! Mel was looking beautiful as I brought her towards the arena the jumps were in. I said hello to Guillermo who allowed me some time to walk around the arena and introduce Mel to the jumps. Some of these she was not used to but I always wanted to walk the course. Something about letting Mel see the jumps gave me the right confidence to ride through the course. I started off slow riding with loose reins for majority of the course. I trusted Mel, like Atom she was one of my best jumpers and I felt more balanced and calm when jumping with her. These saddle is also amazing (10/10 would recommend go check it out in Jorvik Stable). Mel loved the course that I did it a couple times more then went over to the riding hall to complete some of the jumps there since a group of girls arrived with their horses to try this course. Tomorrow, I am going to bring Atom tomorrow and have a go with him. I can just tell he is going to be extremely content with the course as well.
Late night rides with this magical girl so happy to say her training is officially complete! I am going to miss my daily morning training rides with her she was such a gentle soul. Loves what she does and I can not wait to see her in the show rings this summer.
Right before our lesson tonight I was cleaning out my closet finally getting the new shipment of clothes all organized. I realized I was going to be super late if I did not run for it so I did and then I realized I only brought my flower crown and my shark squad hat. HAH. @phoebe-seastorm over here who has the identical helmet to my favourite one actually brought hers. We happen to be the same size and she would not share so I had to go in with the Shark Squad hat. yaaaaaaaaa dad was not happy. Phoe got to do jumps while I worked on transitions. I am still crying. Shark Squad training session today was an absolute success. Hey @phoebe-seastorm why are you so cute??? Have I ever told you how much I hate taking photos with the evening lighting I was very happy to grab these before the orange red tinted skies appear.
