7. three words from your native language that you like the most? the first one is saudade, a word that only exists in brazilian portuguese and it means ‘the feeling of missing something/someone’; the second one is abraço, which means hug; and third one is enternecer, which means ‘seduce’ someone through love and care.

9. which of your neighbouring countries would you like to visit most/know best? i really want to visit chile, uruguay, peru and colombia, they’ve been on my list for a long time already. i’ve been to argentina and i love it (specially because of tango nights), and also paraguay (but only for shopping hehe).

27. favourite national celebrity? i never thought about that... i guess i really like glória maria, a journalist, my travelling icon. also, my mom! in case you don’t know, she’s a brazilian writer and you can buy her book here.

ok, so english isn’t my first language so it might be difficult for me to properly explain this. but, just as the us, latin america was colonized by european countries (specially spain and portugal, but england, france, the netherlands and other countries came as well). they slaved our natives (some, bc they didn’t know all the tribes that lived here) and later they brought africans as slaves too (idk why this is so hard to understand since a similar thing happened in north america). over the years, people got pretty mixed and today is difficult for us to know 100% of our ethnicities (and honestly, we don’t care if we are 12% portuguese, for example). but the thing is, natives, africans and other persons of colors were always discriminated by white people. we (i’m saying we bc i’m a white latina) are very privileged (for ex, i studied in a private school and in over 150 people in my year, only 2 were black) in our society and this is something that always happened, unfortunately. around 50% of Brazilians consider themselves as white, even they don’t know if they are 100% white. for us, what matters the most is our skin color (i’m NOT saying that ethnicities don’t matter to us, bc they do). we still have native tribes that cultivate their traditions, there are some cities that are almost entirely italian or german, for example (and they actually speak those languages and have their own traditions) and there are lots of african-brazilian religions and traditions that are cultivated by african-brazilians. 

i can’t speak about other latinos, but people saying that all latinos are persons of color drives me crazy, bc to say this erase ALL of our history of discrimination, slavery and white privilege.

Era raro um verão aonde algo como aquilo não acontecia. Conhecer alguém e passar os poucos dias que ela ficava na ilha grudado com esse. Tinha até uma boa quantidade de pessoas que tinham se tornado grande amigos dela depois de terem visitado ali, mas nunca tinha sido aquilo que estava acontecendo com Liam, toda vez que olhava pra ele a morena sentia que iria ter um pequeno ataque cardíaco e ela não era assim. Conseguia contar nos dedos de uma mão só quantas vezes tinham tido crushs e quedinhas por garotos daquela forma, ela apenas não era assim, mas ouvir a risada dele fazia com que borboletas surgissem em sua barriga e ela só queria socar a cara dele por ser assim. Com carinho, é claro. Era um sentimento confuso. A cabeça de Evenlyn tombou um pouco enquanto ria do que ele tinha dito, virando o rosto para o olhar depois. "Seu senso de humor é muito ruim. " brinco com ele, mas quando notou o rosto dos dois só estavam perto demais, aquela sensação estranha do seu coração acelerado e sua barriga revirando voltando a surgir e antes que pudesse pensar direito no que acontecia os olhares dela caíram pro lábio do outro, engolindo um pouquinho o cego por nervosismo mas antes que ficasse nervosa demais a ponto de congelar se aproximou um pouquinho dele, seus olhos estavam começando a se fechar quando ouviu alguém gritando seu nome. "Uh." ela conseguiu murmurar enquanto se afastava de novo, virando seu rosto para ver Mia ali na sua frente, sorrindo pra ela de um jeito quase malicioso. Maldita. As vezes ela queria não ter amigos. Ou que a ilha fosse um pouquinho maior pra eles não estarem em todos os malditos lugares. Amava eles, mas ugh, existiam alguns momentos qual aquilo se tornava bem complicado.

anon que se sentiu excluido, eu te entendo completamente, até porque já aconteceram coisas semelhantes comigo - e não só em rp. Eu sempre fui muito tímida (na adolescência melhorou muuito) e tinha uma certa mania de esperar que os outros fossem atrás de mim, não o contrário. Quando os outros não iam, eu ficava arrasada e me sentindo super excluída (até hoje isso acontece), mas eu comecei a perceber uma coisa. Pq eu sempre espero que os outros venham atrás de mim? Eu posso ir atrás tb, não? ++++

não tô dizendo que é esse o caso, até porque eu não sei a tua situação com detalhes, mas você foi atrás de plots com as pessoas? e com ir atrás, eu digo postar/comentar no ooc, enviar msg no chat e marcar os outros em post de musing. Algumas vezes, até vão ir atrás de você, mas outras vezes não - principalmente se o rp já estiver em andamento. Eu fiquei 2 semanas de hiatus do rp q eu to e quando voltei fiquei me sentindo um pouco excluída, até pq tinham entrado muitos chars e eu n tinha plot +++com nenhum deles. Achei estranho, até pq eu sou uma das players mais antigas. Então comecei a perceber exatamente isso, q eu tava esperando irem atrás de mim. Ainda não chamei td mundo pq eu sou bem preguiçosa pra isso KKK mas os q eu chamei, já plotei com todos. Novamente, não sei se é esse o caso (e se não for, você deveria sim continuar insistindo com a central), mas siga o conselho de uma pessoa que já perdeu muita coisa por esperar ser chamada pelos outros: vá atrás e seja feliz KKKKKKKK <3
