Winx Club headcanon: the only reason Diaspro has ever been hostile to Bloom is that the latter turned out to be a princess.

She had no problem with Sky shaking it up with a random fairy, their match was never based on love but on politics and this Bloom girl was powerful and good looking, with just some training in proper manners she'd make an excellent concubine and provide an excellent cadet line for the future, maybe even direct heirs if Yoshinoya got Diaspro before she got him. The problem was more than Sky had messed up and it would take some otherwise unneeded effort to get Bloom to go along with it and make the situation socially acceptable.

But no, Bloom had to turn out the Princess of Domino, and a princess couldn't be a mere concubine. She could only be the proper wife... And Diaspro had been raised to be the next Queen of Heraklyon, she couldn't let this princess take away her entire reason for EXISTING. She had to do something to get her out of the way, or die trying.

Yea yeah yeah!!!

Honestly my au has this similar in that like.

I wouldn't say she's "okay" with him having a side-girl or concubine but if he really stands his ground on it then she'd allow it begrudgingly

But even if he wants to break off the engagement his parents would never allow it.

And yeah she's losing her mind because her only purpose in life was to be Sky's wife. What does she do without that?

It'd be funny if Bloom had a medical issue, it's just that it put her in normal range for a human.

Like,

Bloom has a perfectly normal blood pressure.

If she were human. She's not.

The first time she gets a proper check up, the doctor panics over it and how long it's gone untreated, and prescribes her some medicine to fix it.

Bloom is just like "Is that why I dizzy when I stand up too quickly?"

Another thing that humans might be known for is out poison resistance.

It's far from being the most impressive, but it's still a lot higher than most species.

Stealing a human's food or drink is a good way to end up in a hospital, although unlike stealing a Linphean (That's Flora's species, right?) lunch, you'll probably be fine in a day or two.

Like, you take a sip of some hot chocolate and it's got:

Milk (Not poison, but lactose intolerance), Chocolate (Poison), Nutmeg (Poison), Cloves (Poison), Cayenne Pepper (Poison), Star Anise (Poison), Allspice (Poison), Vanilla (Poison), and Peppermint (Poison).

And sure, a lot of those poisons are in really small amounts, but it's still poison.

Bloom like: "I spent the last few years building up an immunity to hot chocolate."

Mostly this wouldn’t all fit in an ask-

I was thinking about how Bloom’s parents are written in the OG Winx series, in regards to magic, and how it was usually…comedic. “You mastered Instant Transmog Magic, I’m so happy for you! *whispers* Do you know what that is?” “*whispers back* Not a clue.”. They loved Bloom a lot, but they very clearly didn’t understand, and it was used for comedic effect. Affectionately - Very “he’s confused, but he’s got spirit”. - but comedic nonetheless.

However.

Bloom’s parents are a couple who adopted a baby they found CHILLING IN A BLAZING HOUSE FIRE. Just. Sitting in the flames, totally untouched. Who was not a resident of that house, had no documents, and whom literally NO ONE HAD SEEN BEFORE THE FIRE. And you CANNOT convince me Bloom looked like a newborn, she probably looked older - 6 months-a year, maybe even toddler - so how did she get there? You also can’t convince me that Bloom didn’t have a few “incidents”, Harry Potter-style, growing up, that her parents had to deal with and rationalize. 

Also also, Bloom’s dad is a firefighter. Have you actually MET any firefighters? They are to most “yeah, I can roll with this” people on the planet while being simultaneous safety conscious daredevils, because that’s literally how they do their JOBS. Bloom’s dad’s response to monster attacks should be to grab the fire axe and start swinging without missing a beat. And her mom? She’s MARRIED to a firefighter, and WILLINGLY WORKS IN RETAIL. Nothing should phase this woman.

my point here is, Bloom’s parents shouldn’t be written as bumbling, but affectionate clueless parents.

Bloom’s parents should be written like Ma and Pa Kent.

But no really like. 

In my rewrite, Bloom’s parents pretty much do roll with the whole Magic thing. 

Stella shows up and tells them Bloom’s Magical and can take her to Magic College? Yeah the baby was found chilling in a blazing fire so that sounds right. Let’s check out the school to make sure it has good programs!

Bloom comes home looking different because the glamour wore off so she looks Dominoian again? Gets a doubletake but they roll with it. Same with her using Magic to help out. 

Get kidnapped to the Magic Dimension and held hostage then told there’s a whole major battle about to go down and they should get the hell out of dodge? Hell no they’re sticking around to help out.

I think drinking milk/dairy as adults should be one of the weird things humans are known for, both in Winx and in your Ben 10 stuff.

Humans are the /only/ animal on Earth that can do that, and I think that would probably follow a similar trend in space.

They might not be the only ones to do it, with how many species there are, but it'd still probably be rare enough for it to be notable.

Yeah it'd def be like a ?????? to everyone else.

It’s a good thing Flora isn’t AMAB. Icy has a very low body temperature and that part shrinks when exposed to cold.

I mean given what I rewrote for Valtor in my reboot I can't imagine he's a /good/ person but yikes anyway.
