Citadel Warhammer Age of Sigmar Stormcast Liberator and Lord Celestant on Dracoth models in-progress.
A montage of models in-progress. All Citadel, from Age of Sigmar, Shadespire, and Warhammer 40000.
The previously pictured boat earlier in its progress, showing the naked balsa wood construction and the planks for the deck. The balsa is about 1/16-inch thick and was cut with a razor saw.
A river barge I made for the Vengeance book release event. The boat is balsa wood fixed with wood glue and stained with acrylic inks; the ropes are jute twine also stained with acrylic ink and tied to a bent paperclip on one end and a loop of "rope" at the other. It is modeled on the punt style of boat used in our world. Sorcha is on board for scale. As usual, this is a picture of it in progress.
Primed with Apple Barrel brand paint and alcohol mixed in a ratio of approximately 8 to 1, or approximately 10 "drops" of paint to approximately one and a half large droppers filled with alcohol. Sprayed at 40 psi.
I made a gray wash according to the instructions found linked below, fist making the wash base then adding some of it to a dropper bottle with some gray and black acrylic inks. The recommended 40 drops of color (gray) didn't produce a dark enough wash as I wanted; I tested it on this Paladin of the wall as pictured. So I (think) I added 10 more drops of gray and 20 of black to get it the shade pictured and with which I'm satisfied.
Progress on a friend's pieces from Merchants and Marauders. Painting is completed on these and many of the others. When all are complete, I will seal them in Modge Podge then matte spray for durability.
Some of a friend's Merchants and Marauders pieces completed.
