Today I am travelling back to the UK and received a very last minute invite to visit the Leedo Street Children Peace Home. I am tired and weary but I couldn’t resist. Abdal and I had visited the LEEDO sanctuary two years earlier with Team MC to deliver cycles and a sports programme. Today I was appointed guest Head Coach and we had a few hours of drills with this awesome girls team. Each and every one is an orphan and rescued from the streets. They are phenomenal and this is the official Bangladesh team which will take part in the FIFA World Cup - Qatar 2022 Street Children World Cup. This is also the team that represented Bangladesh at the Street Children World Cup, hosted at Lord's during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. They were particularly interested in our Sylhet team recently becoming Bangladesh District Cup champions. What a magnificent opportunity for these angels. They even arranged a prayer for my beloved late father - To say I’m glad I went is an understatement! I am tired and weary and blessed!
