Asha: So… how was your childhood?
Gabo: Oh, it was great. A laugh riot. You should have been there.
Can't stop thinking about the Wish soundtrack since I genuinely like some of the themes (?) In the songs so I can't stop thinking of like potential animatics I would like to do when I get free time like-
Imagine At All Cost with:
- Some random human stand-in for a Disney boss: King Magnifico
- Mickey: Asha
- The Wishes: The animated Movies and TV shows
- Asha's Grandpa's Wish: Oswald's cancelled tv series
(Magnifico breaking Sakina's wish because of Asha's rebellion would be like Disney cancelling Oswald's show because of Mickey's rebellion- oh I love making the brothers feel responsible for the other's happiness)
And then for "I'm A Star", which is ironically my favourite song despite so many people hating it.
I like to imagine that's the other Disney movie characters welcoming Asha into their fold and generally being very kind to her. I've mentioned it before I think, but I'm very fond of the idea that Mickey is particularly fond and protective of Asha and Star even after the public reception of Wish turned out to be negative. Like to me, that's his babies. He cares a lot about them and doesn't want them to be torn down by negative views and people blatantly misinterpreting what the movie was trying to say
(Generally I like to think Mickey loves the Disney flops. He's more gentler and supportive to them than the successes who would have Disney's backing and favour anyway)
“Hey, wouldn’t Pinkie get mad if she found out that your star boy has the same design as Aster?”
I’ve answered this question before in my comments, but I think I should make it clear! I didn’t copy Pinkie’s design for Starboy! I used the og concept art like everyone else alongside other fanart that inspired me!
And I wanted my designs to have a cohesive color palette with blues golds and whites! Mostly to show how Magnifico and Amaya emulate the stars, but lessen the golden elements!
Also, I like brighter colors and the concept art for StarBoy was very darker colors and I think Disney designs look pretty with brighter colors!
Asha: My ADHD actually saved me because I wasn’t paying enough attention when we were being indoctrinated.
In The Kitchens- The Wish Chamber

The Palace Kitchens of Rosas were filled with smells of fresh bread, fruits and spices from all corners of the globe. The fires blazed with smoking embers and flames of orange and yellow, and soot covered the floors below as the table was full of silver metal pans and a magnificent three tier cake of vanilla with royal blue icing and decorated with white rose decals.
Dahlia steadied herself against the table, carefully decorating the last few roses on the cake in time for the ceremony, flour and batter covering her ivory white apron with splatters of blue and silver icing on her dress and spectacles.
“Dal! You almost done with that cake?” Called Simon, her older brother, a hulking young man with brown curls. His hands were deep in dough, kneading it to consistency as his tired grey eyes laid on his sister.
“Simon! Don’t distract her! Art takes time! I should know!” Flazino, their middle brother with doe brown eyes and the same curls as his brother with a darker tan to his skin than either of his siblings, who was putting another batch of cookies into the oven.
“Yeah! You take forever in the bathhouse!” Said Dahlia, tossing her brother a playful glare.
Flazino gasped dramatically, hand to his chest. The two laughed and Flazino joined them as the doors swung open as the speed of a supernova.
Asha stood in the doorway with her arms braced on either side, the biggest grin on her face. Her sleeveless royal blue overcoat of her ivory white dress was a little messy as her braids fell in her face, her blue eyes sparkling.
“ITS TODAY!!” She exclaimed as Cabby hopped inside the room with a smile on his face and bleated happily at the trio.
“Good Day to you too, Your Highness.” Dahlia said, her voice having a soft tone to it.
“Hey little guy,” Flazino said to Cabby as the little black goat rubbed his head against his leg in an effort to get chin scratches.
“What’s today?” Simon asked, and Asha beamed, beginning to pace around the room in excitement.
“It’s Today! It’s actually happening today!!”
She stopped by the table, hands bracing against the wood as she grins. “Father is showing me the Wishes today!” Asha announced, and her trio of friends jaws dropped in shock and amazement.
“The Wishes? Like, the Wishes of the Entire Kingdom?” Flazino asked, and Asha nodded aggressively.
“Asha that’s wonderful! You’ve waited forever!” Dahlia said, her smile showing her dimples as Cabby hopped up onto the shelf behind her and Flazino sneakily handed him a cookie from the cooling pan as a treat.
“Do you think you’ll be able to grant them?” Flazino asked, and Simon cleared his throat before shaking his head at his brother lightly, grey eyes sharping.
Asha’s eyes dropped slightly, and Flazino looked guilty immediately. “Sorry, forgot about…that part.”
“It’s okay. Even if I can’t cast spells, I know everything about the magic involved with The Wishes and everything my ancestors knew about the gift The Stars left!” Asha said, but her smile didn’t quite match her eyes.
“So what if you can’t cast spells, Magic isn’t the only thing that makes up a ruler! And I’m sure you’ll be an excellent Queen of Rosas one day!” Simon reassured her, and Asha’s smile softened slightly.
“Thanks Simon. I hope so too…”
Just then, a sleek white cat with his back dappled with shades of grey spots slunk into the room, his collar a gleaming gold with a bright blue gem in the center. He sat at the front and bowed his head a little bit.
“Introducing Her Majesty; The Rose of Rosas, The Ivory Queen, The Ear of the King, The-“
“Mama!” Asha beamed as she rushed into her mother’s arms. Queen Amaya was a tall woman with the same skin tone as her daughter, albeit a little lighter, and deep brown hair in ornate golden cauls on the sides of her head with light brown eyes. Her gown was a light ivory overcoat with a grey undercoat and a royal blue under-cape with glittery stars.
“Asha! There you are, Mi Cielo!” She said, embracing her daughter. “Are you ready?”
“As I’ll ever be!” Asha said, her expression a little nervous smile as Queen Amaya’s face softened.
She looked at the cake for the Wish Ceremony and smiled. “Wonderful work, Dahlia! You’ve outdone yourself!”
Dahlia blinked, then gave a brief curtsy, wobbling a little bit due to her crutch, but she got there in the end. “Thank you, Your Majesty…”
Amaya turns back to her daughter, and takes her arm. “Come, your father expects you…”
And since you got the rewritten song, you also get to hear how it sounds! I'm still improving with SynthV but I definitely nailed the harmonies this time around! Hope ya like it! :3
