So, I'm still working on "ROTTMNT Heroes," I've got the Shadamy book "Hidden Hopes" waiting for me to decide if I will rewrite the first book before doing it, "Serenity's Peace," and now... My old book series "What If Movies:" I'm not sure if I remembered the title right and I only did one book, but this series was where I went into deleted story plots for movies, seeing what other people had gathered, fanart, deleted scenes, and turned into an entire chapter book showing what movies could've been, and I just found inspiration to try it out again. And, in all places...Disney's "Wish!"

Now, I liked the movie...fairly well. I don’t think I'm in the camp of people who didn’t like this movie. But it did hold some flaws with the villain, his backstory needed to be flushed out more: It felt like you were supposed to hear him tell his story and think, "He lost everything and he wants to help people by protecting what is most dear to them." But it's hard to feel that when his vanity, pride, and obsession overshadow that. Not only that but he seems smug when telling Asha he won't grant her family's wishes. I did like that, as a tribute to the Disney 100th anniversary, several Easter Eggs were planted in the film. Asha's best friends are even variants of the seven dwarves! And the songs were good. Which brings us to the inspiration for me tackling a rewrite of "Wish."

I just watched YouTuber Glass' review over how Disney has depicted love over the years, going from ridiculously fast to believable and mature to almost non-existent. And at the very end Glass stated that Disney was going to make "Wish" a ROMANCE! Star was originally designed as a shapeshifter who takes on the form of a human and falls in love with Asha. The song "At All Costs," was their LOVE song. It wasn’t a song directed at her desire to protect her grandfather's wish, but a love song between her and a star! Before this I had seen someone rewrite the song as a love duet, but I figured it was purely fanfic and nothing more. After watching Glass' review and hearing him say it was a love song, I discovered other fans had reanimated the "At All Costs" song with the original lyric, "I wanna love you as one does," as well as other rewrites of scenes.

And the king wasn’t a solo villain, his wife was 100% on board with him! As Glass stated, young innocent love versus evil manipulative love, the "FIRST EVIL DISNEY COUPLE!" Can you imagine the story, opening up the same, but the moment Star comes down to help Asha save Rosas and it's wishes, it's not just a star and wishes being threatened and hunted anymore, but a human being falling in love with Asha. Why didn’t we get this?! This was a movie honoring ALL Disney classics, and you could've done a "The Little Mermaid" forbidden love angle with Star! You have a girl falling in love with a STAR! I even found one reanimation of "At All Costs," where Star makes Asha a blue version of Belle's ball gown from "Beauty and the Beast!"

Okay. Coming off the rave train. This is now in my to consider list. I may just put up another poll with my top 3 of what to write next if I haven't decided by the end of "Heroes."
