Only silence and steps resonating through the empty hallway, the hospital felt dead. Officer Davis, of the Toronto Police Service, looked at the doors, tiles and flickering lights as she made her way to the head surgeon’s office. He had called her in for troubles at the hospital, and now that she was here, she could only tell one thing: everything was too calm.
As her hand pushed the office’s door open, her eyes widened at the sight of a creature, their eyes shining as bright as a firefly, covered in a thick crimson liquid all over. She grabbed her radio without a second of doubt, ❝ Officer Fulgencio, we have a problem. ❞, her voice rang in the hallway. But before she could breathe out, here they were. A finger hovering over their own mouth, and the others brushing her cheeks.
In a second, the creature disappeared. As officer Davis came back to her own consciousness, Fulgencio’s voice came through the radio. What is going on, Davis? ❝ Doctor Martin is missing, ❞ was her answer on the radio. As her hands grabbed the doctor’s corpse, her eyes looked up to the mirror at the back of the office, two bright, yellow glowing orbs showing where her eyes should have been.
BODY FOUND IN CANAL ; The body of man has been found dead in the Welland Canal. The body is believed to belong to the doctor Andrew Martin, reported missing this last Tuesday, September 24th, by officer Lena Davis. The person was drained out of blood and possibly moved to the canal to dispose of the body. Enquiries are ongoing, and it is has not been confirmed if the death is being treated as suspicious.
