my lil witch shop miniature is finally complete!!!!!!!

the roof is on hold because i lost the lightbulb bit so i'm doing other stuff while i wait for it to get to me

but it's turning out pretty stinkin cute if i do say so myself

actually, related to witchy thoughts, i've long had this idea in my head that a chatelaine would be a lovely witchy accessory & i kind of want to try my hand at DIY-ing one for myself??

so a while back i looked up ~traditional witch tools~ for inspiration, and kind of started mentally composing a list of what my witchsona would carry on their chatelaine

and just now scrolling back through my witchy tag i found this art which if i remember correctly helped spark the initial idea of "witch's chatelaine" (tho i've known what they are for years and find them unbearably charming in their own right)

anyway,, here is my working list of witch's tools to keep on my chatelaine:

some kind of ritual dagger/pretty knife

keys (i have a couple random vintage ones i collected from somewhere that would be perfect)

a compass (supposedly knowing north is important for ritual circles but i also like the idea of it being a symbol of finding my path in life)

a small glass bottle for potions

maybe a small velvet pouch for holding herbs/other knicknacks

if i want to get really extra, making a tiny pocket notebook to be a spellbook

a fancy pair of scissors

i've had this dress for approximately forever i just hadnt had a chance to wear it yet. summer is not the appropriate season for black velvet, unfortunately, but now that its getting cooler its the perfect moment~

went on a lil adventure to check out the daiso in provo so of course i had to put together a cheeky lil summer witch fit~

i've had some beads picked out for this design for a couple weeks now so i finally sat down and worked out what i wanted & made the dang necklace

wasnt sure when i'd finished if i actually liked it oe not so i set it aside for a couple hours to marinate & decided when i got back after dinner that it was cute so i added a clasp & threw in one of these metal moon charms i had

and now i love it. its giving whimsigoth glam rock & that's exactly my aesthetic, v pleased with the overall vibes
