"It will be fun, trust me." Gavin held out his hand to Michael who looked between it and the broom Gavin was currently perched upon.
"I'm sure flying around on a broom would be loads of fun, the problem is you as the driver." Behind the hurtful words, Gavin can hear a smile, though that doesn't mean it hurts his feelings any less.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're a shitty driver."
"You hurt me, Michael." Gavin holds a hand to his chest dramatically before going back to smiling like an idiot "Besides flying a broom is easier, in fact, I learned to fly before I ever learned to drive."
Michael rolls his eyes but smiles anyways as he extends his hand towards Gavin. Gavin coos happily and takes a hold pulling Micheal in to sit with him on the broom.
"Hold on alright? Just think of this as a motorcycle."
Michael wraps his arms around Gavin and holds tight just in time as Gavin takes off. He swears he hears Gavin laugh. The two climb higher in the sky until their gliding far above Los Santos.
"Ever been this high before?" Gavin asks
"I've flown in airplanes before. So yeah, I've been much higher."
"Airplanes don't count, you can't feel the wind in your hair."
"I've skydived before, with you. Remember?"
"That's not flying Micheal, that's just falling. Nothing special about that, just plain ol' gravity."
"Hot air balloon?"
"Oh come off it, you've never been in a hot air balloon before." Michael laughs, and Gavin can feel the vibrations against his back, it makes him smile.
"Alright, you got me, I've never been in a hot air balloon. So no, I've never been up this high."
"Do you like it?" Gavin turns slightly to look over his shoulder at Michael.
"Yeah, it's a lot more calming than I imagined. Plus the city lights are really pretty from up here." If the wind hadn't have drowned his quiet response Micheal might have heard Gavin say the ever so cheesy line "You're really pretty." But alas he didn't.
The two enjoyed the broom ride in peaceful silence for a moment as they drifted over the city. Soon the moon emerged from behind some clouds.
"Almost full isn't it?" Gavin inquired.
"Yeah, two more nights and then I turn." There was a sorrow to Michaels's words that broke Gavin's heart.
"You alright?"
"Of course, never better."
"I know your lying."
"It's not exactly fun you know. It hurts a lot, then I'm tired and hungry. After that, I get this energy spike and I just need to burn it away." Gavin thought on Michaels's words.
"What if I spent the night with you?" Micheal sputtered at the offer.
"Y-you can't."
"Why not? Are you afraid you'd hurt me?" Micheal held tighter to Gavin, pulling the two closer so he could bury his face in Gavin's hair.
"No, I'd never hurt you, Gav, you're my boi," Micheal spoke right behind Gavin's ear.
"Then why can't I spend the full moon with you?"
"I, I hate myself when I turn. I feel like a wild animal, a beast. I don't want you to see me like that." If Gavin could he would spin around on the broom to hold Micheals's head and set him straight. But he needed to focus on flying. So a stern talking to was just as good.
"Micheal, you're not a beast. Your my best friend, my boi, and if you think for one second that seeing you in action as a werewolf would change that then I'm sorry I ever gave you that idea. I really, appreciate you, and I wanna be there for you too."
"Thanks. If you really wanna stay the night with me you can. But I still wanna warn you, even though I still have the self-control I'm not exactly myself."
"Oh, that's alright. I wouldn't expect you to be perfectly Michael when you're a big ol' wolf. As long as your just enough Micheal that's good enough for me."
Micheal laughs and rests his chin and Gavin's shoulder.
"Hey, Gav?"
"Hm?"
"I love you too."
Gavin sputters and almost loses control of the broom, it jerks and drops for a second before he corrects it.
"Jesus christ Gavin, what was that for?"
