Do not use the r/witchcraft subreddit as it is being run by mods pushing a misogynistic agenda. Their mods are getting accounts banned for posting up historical information that goes against their misogynistic views and narrative. One of the mods is using the subreddit to weaponize their members against another witchcraft community in a subreddit that is intended to be a safe space from toxic male influences and harassment.
I won’t be quiet about this no matter how much they want to shove their fingers in their ears and yell “lalalala I can’t hear you.” They are horribly misrepresenting the significance of women, historically, in witchcraft and trying to push a male victim complex. It is disgusting that anyone would use such a large community to pursue their own personal vendettas against a group of [mostly] women in the witchcraft community.
The mods of the r/witchcraft subreddit are abusing their power within the community and I will be sure everyone knows they are not an appropriate place to find an inclusive community of witches. It feels like another avenue of the witchcraft to alt right pipeline.
If you want an inclusive community, honestly, Reddit isn’t the place to look for it. Way too many mods getting a power trip and using the communities to foster and promote disgusting views and behavior.
Here is the link to the post of one of the mods trying to weaponize his community against another community of witches on Reddit. They are actively removing and banning anyone who shares any information that goes against their misogynistic misinformation about the historical context of the “burning times.” And claiming that men were tortured and murdered more often than women for the crimes of witchcraft. Which we know is complete bullshit. I even shared links that sourced the real history and they removed my comment and banned me. This subreddit, unfortunately, is being run by people with a power trip and a victim complex.
