He wasn’t exactly expecting a new face right now, but he also wasn’t put out by meeting one; if nothing else, in his own time and place, he had learned at least some decent socialization. And while he was still no master of smalltalk, he was friendly. “Hello?” he asked, eying the new person without any wariness, though perhaps some curiosity.
