OKOK so i’m thinking of the subtle differences you begin to notice between cregan and jace, whether that be maturity differences, preferences, habits, etc. things begin to slow down enough to give you time to notice things about them instead of always having to be so busy with the realm.
for example, whenever you hold onto jaces arm when walking, you can feel how he flexes the muscle as soon as your hand wraps around it. he’s lean, but being a dragon rider requires a form of brawn that’s easy to feel under your palms. he bites down on that pretty grin of his to try and keep it at bay, but you sneak a glance regardless. he’s playful — showy when he wants to be.
cregan, however, keeps his arm relaxed unless you specifically ask him to flex, which he will do with a terribly handsome expression of his just to humor you. though even relaxed, you can feel the quiet strength he harbors. it’s a light buzz that crackles beneath your fingertips and spreads a warmth as it climbs up — knowing how much power rests beneath his furs. he’s reserved, and enables your curiosity so it may speak for itself on his behalf.
