I HAVE A QUESTION
Okay, so where I live being a witch or practicing anything that isn’t of the Christian religion is pretty much shamed upon. BUT my island does have a history of witch families, santeria, and some taino rituals, along with some African rituals and culture as well.
The more I go into my island’s history, whether this be by internet or any other source up and about, I notice a common trend regarding witches. It basically states that anyone ‘born a witch’ or ‘born into a witch family’ has a lot more power rather than the one who ‘turns into’ or ‘becomes’ a witch. Meaning, if the witch who wasn’t born into the craft does a spell/curse, a ‘natural born witch’ is able to break this spell/curse without trouble. Meanwhile, if a ‘natural born witch’ casts a curse/spell, a witch who wasn’t born into the craft cannot break the spell/curse cast.
I am wondering, can this belief be confirmed or denied? Any of the more experienced witches out there who might know a bit about this have an idea?
I’m just really curious, myth or fact?
