❝ a few days in and i’ve already dealt with 𝐓𝐖𝐎 quizzes and been assigned a group project , ❞ jules complained , gently rubbing circles into her temples as she takes a seat along the bleachers ❝ how are you faring ? ❞ she questioned , genuine concern and interest breaking through her words . ❝ anyone giving you trouble ? ❞ as hard as it’d been for her lately , she knows it’s been harder for harriet , but there’s a part of juliette that’s comforted by the fact that there’s no pretenses between them . juliette doesn’t have to feel the weight of pretending to be the girl she’d been before this summer , and neither does harriet . sure , it’s in different ways , but its nice all the same .
