After having spent the first few days on the job getting his office at the Pentagon sorted, and making sure things were running smoothly, Oz felt now would be the perfect time to introduce himself to his direct superior. Of course that had involved navigating the White House, but once he was shown to office of the Secretary of Defense, it was just a matter of waiting to be seen. Patience was not something that came easy to him, but he did understand it was considered a virtue for a reason.
So when he finally saw the man approach, he stood and greeted with a cordial smile. “Secretary Organa, General Cosinga Palpatine. I hope you don’t mind my visit outside of the Joint Chiefs of Staff meeting, but as I’ve been newly appointed and that process involves the President and Senate, I felt it might be best to go ahead and make sure the first time you saw my face wasn’t during an important meeting with the other heads of the military.”
